Our creative arts facilities include art and design workshops, fashion studios, movie suites, dark rooms and more.
Our students also have the opportunity to undertake projects alongside Bristol’s media employers, which in the past have included BBC and Aardman.
Creative Media Production Certificate Level 1

This course is an entry-level introduction into the world of creative media production. You will complete assignments to start building your portfolio, as well as completing a BTEC Personal and Social Development qualification and learning employability skills.

This course is for students who are interested in digital art and media, and more specifically, TV and film. You will learn a range of basic creative skills and subject-specific ones, and research the individual styles of a range of TV and film professionals.

This course is for students who may have studied Art at GCSE and want to develop higher-level skills. Fashion and Textiles Diploma Level 2

This course will introduce you to basic fashion, design and textiles practices, skills and techniques. You will experiment with your ideas, explore and analyse the work of other artists and designers and start to build your creative portfolio.
I was quite nervous when I started my course because I had no background in media, but I really shouldn’t have been. The course was so detailed, I learned everything I needed. It was a great starting point for my career and I would 100% recommend the College.

This course uses practical, workbased projects to teach students essential fashion design and production skills, including various visual recording methods, researching and writing about fashion history, experimenting with fashion presentation techniques and pattern construction.
Performing Arts (Acting) Diploma Level 3

This course covers a variety of skills needed to understand the craft of performing arts. You will learn acting for camera, how to audition, acting styles, devising your own pieces and more, as well as being a part of two public performances in a Bristol venue.
Photography Diploma Level 3

This course is for students with a passion for photography and image production to learn a range of skills and techniques through practical, work-based projects. You will enrol onto the one-year Foundation Diploma initially, then for year two you could progress onto the Extended Diploma, or transfer to another creative Diploma such as Graphic Design or Art and Design.

Engineering and Aircraft Maintenance
Students on our engineering courses work and study at our Advanced Engineering Centre. The Centre is kitted out with industry-grade equipment, and designed to replicate real-world settings to prepare students for applying their knowledge in the workplace.
Engineering Apprenticeship Level 2
Awarded by EAL Advanced Engineering Centre Two years, full-time
This course is for students employed as a Level 2 apprentice in an engineering role. Our apprenticeship areas are Engineering Technical Support Operative, Lean Manufacturing Operative, Maintenance and Installation Manufacturing, Manufacturing Operative and Welder/Fabricator Operative.
Engineering Apprenticeship Level 3
Awarded by EAL Advanced Engineering Centre Three to four years, full-time
This course is for students employed as a Level 3 apprentice in an engineering role. Our apprenticeship areas are Engineering Maintenance and Operation Engineering Technician, Engineering Manufacture (Fitting), Engineering Manufacture (Machining) Technician, Engineering Metal Fabricator, Mechanical Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician and Support Technician.
Engineering Foundation Diploma Level 3

This course will give you all the basic skills you need to become an engineering technician. Worth the equivalent of 1.5 A Levels, you will learn a wide range of engineering disciplines across seven units, and can progress to the Extended Diploma.

This course is a great introduction for students interested in a career as an aircraft maintenance engineer. Upon completing this course, you can progress to the Level 3 qualification, which will give you the necessary skills for employment.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering EASA Part-66 A Licence Level 3
Awarded by City & Guilds/ Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Advanced Engineering Centre Two years, full-time
This course covers the fundamentals of aviation mathematics and science in addition to aircraft aerodynamics, structures and systems for turbine engines. On completion, successful students can be employed as an aircraft maintenance engineer in order to become fully Category A licenced, or apply to train as a Category B1 aircraft engineer.
