VOLUNTEER COACHES SEEKING GREAT
VOLUNTEER COACHES are the backbone of youth sports and make our youth sport programs possible.
Please join us in providing a positive and fun-filled sports experience for the children in our community. Each team needs a coach to conduct practices and direct players during games. All volunteers who provide direct services to children must pass a background check. Upon completion of a successful season, volunteer coaches will receive a credit (cost of youth sports registration) to use towards future programs.
So don’t wait—fill out your volunteer application now so you are ready to start right along with the team! To continue serving our community we need your help and support.
Visit buckeyeaz.gov/sportsleagues to fill out an application.

DID YOU KNOW?
Before the days of modern cafeteria, BUHS students ate in various venues. In 1946, Price and Clover Curd operated a sandwich shop in their yard at 9th St. and Edison Ave. Then in 1963, Hawks Haven was on campus and provided for the lunch bunch until 2003. It had replaced the wooden snack bar, with a drop-down service window, located just west of the new “Hawks Haven” cafeteria, which became the new hub for lunch on January 5, 2004. (Students also had the option to leave campus for lunch until the 2009-2010 school year when BUHS became a closed campus.)
