Burleson Focus Fall 2017 Edition
Celebrate Burleson’s Founders Day October 14 | Old Town
Burleson to host multiple family-friendly events this Fall The temperatures are cooling down, and that means that events in Burleson are heating up. The City will play host to a variety of events September through November, and we encourage everyone to join us for the fun. September will kick off with the monthly dance at the Senior Activity Center on Sept. 8. Those 50 and over are invited to dance the night away with music from the Faster Horses Band; admission is $5 per person. The next day, Sept. 9 all residents are invited to help Keep Burleson Beautiful with the bi-annual Trash Bash. The event starts at Warren Park and groups will be assigned to different areas in town. BAM Fest, Burleson’s very own comic convention, will be on Sept. 16. The cosplay contest is open to all ages. Join us in Old Town and enjoy a movie under the stars Sept. 16, 23 and 30. Come early to enjoy one of the local restaurants or food vendors
and bring a blanket or chair to get a great seat. The events don’t slow down in October, starting with the citywide National Night Out, Oct. 7, that promotes police-community partnerships. Also, on Oct. 7 is the Far Out Family Camp Out at Russell Farm Art Center, register at the BRiCk. Burleson’s daylong event that celebrates the city’s founding will take place Oct. 14, starting at 9 a.m. You can watch a movie while lounging in the BRiCk’s indoor pool on Oct. 20, and bring out the whole family for Boo Bash, Oct. 28 in Old Town, a free trick-or-treating event for children 12 and under. We will salute the service and sacrifices of those that served in our armed forces Nov. 4 during the Military Veterans Tribute. Bring your hazardous waste, electronics you want to recycle to the city’s bi-annual event on Nov. 11. And join the Senior Fall Festival Nov. 14.
