Acting City Manager Named - Search for Next City Manager Begins

On February 22, Golden City Council unanimously appointed Carly Lorentz as the Acting City Manager for the City of Golden. Lorentz’ first day as Acting City Manager will be March 18, after current City Manager Jason Slowinski’s final day with the City of Golden. Lorentz has served the city as Deputy City Manager since 2018.

The City of Golden collected proposals from qualified recruiting consultant firms and has selected an executive recruitment firm to permanently fill the City Manager position. As the recruitment process for Golden’s next City Manager continues, there will be opportunity for public input and engagement.
