MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR
Welcome to the QPT Program for the second half of 2018. The QPT is the perfect place to escape the winter blues and experience a world of entertainment. The whole family is bound to enjoy Roald Dahl’s classic tale of George’s Marvellous Medicine. This 55 minute performance is packed to the rafters with mischief, music, magic and giant laughs. Later in the year, prepare for the award-winning and dark comedic political thriller A Prudent Man. What makes the Trumps, the Abbotts and the Hansons of this world tick? Embodying their slogans, mannerisms and headlines, A Prudent Man is an amalgamation of recent history’s conservative politicians. You can also catch the awe-inspiring Celtic Illusion who offer some of the fastest taps and moves in the world. You’ll experience everything from contemporary Irish dance as well as grand illusions and a dash of magic. Catch all this and much more at the QPT this winter. See you there.

Roald Dahl’s
GEORGE’S MARVELLOUS MEDICINE
What starts as just another boring day for George quickly turns into a marvellous experiment of epic proportions! Cleverly adapted from the much-loved book by Roald Dahl, George’s Marvellous Medicine bounds off the page in a spectacular live show for the whole family. On a good day, George can’t stand his Grandma. She complains all the time, she’s mean and she smells funny. On this particular day, Grandma is much more annoying than usual and George has had enough. “George – make me a cup of tea! George – rub my feet! George – stop growing!” Ugh. Wanting to put an end to her constant nagging, George creates a special medicine, greater than any medicine in the history of the world. What he doesn’t expect is that this medicine may actually work – just not in the way he thinks... George’s Marvellous Medicine is packed to the rafters with mischief, music, magic and giant laughs. Just remember – do not try this at home! 55 MINUTES NO INTERVALS TIME: 6pm RATING: 6+ TICKETS: $30 Adult $20 Child under 18 $80 Family 2+2

BAND SPECTACULAR The Geraldton City Band is again thrilled to bring together school bands from the Geraldton and Morawa regions to present a musical extravaganza. This annual concert is a platform for children who are involved in the band programs within their schools to perform alongside other bands in the community for friends and family. It also presents an opportunity for the younger students to hear more experienced bands play, hopefully giving them the incentive to continue their musical paths through the school band programs and beyond. Each band individually presents their own selection of music before the interval, while the second half is a fantastic showcase of music by a massed band of around 250 musicians! A jazz band will provide light entertainment in the foyer before the show and during interval.
