She graduated from the institute in October 2020 after passing the national certification exam. PUBLIC SERVICES Guilford Creek Week, a collaborative water quality initiative between The City of High Point, Greensboro, Guilford County and community partners, was a big success. After canceling last year due to COVID-19, they returned this year, June 5-12, with guided hikes, trash cleanups, educational activities and recreational events. More than 800 people around Guilford County participated in some way, and more than 900 pounds of trash were collected from local waterways! A huge thank you to all who helped make this a success, and we are already looking forward to next year!

PUBLIC SERVICES LANDFILL IMPROVEMENTS Spring weather has been a blessing to the landfill division. It has allowed us to get some slope grading and grass seeding done. We have also had our first slope mowing job done on the older capped finished phase of the landfill. These accomplishments contribute to keeping our facility in compliance and looking its best.

The landfill has also had another safe and effective event receiving material from the Spring Furniture Market!
