Fall Oak Hollow Open: Ryder Cup Edition (Ages 16+)

Celebrating its 11th year, this is a two-person captain's choice, 36-hole event that will be flighted after the first round. Open to the first 60 teams, the "shotgun start" for both days gives golfers a chance to get a round in before watching football games in the afternoon! Seniors (ages 55 and older) will play from the white tees. This event will also include a Par 3 Challenge both days. Over $6,000 in prizes and gift certificates will be awarded! Parents & Toddlers: Nature's Blueprints (Ages 3 - 5)

This fun activity combines exploring the natural world with a creative art project! Learn about the sun and its natural effects on our planet while on a hike. After, we will spend time in PEC's solar heart garden making personal "blueprints" of natural objects such as plants, sticks and stones using photo-reactive paper. Piedmont Environmental Center Saturday, July 9, 9 - 11 a.m. $5 per participant Parents & Toddlers: Camouflage Collage (Ages 3 - 5)

Learn about the hidden world of mimicry and camouflage on an adventuresome hike! We will look closely at colors and other features which help protect animals. After our hike, we will create a wild camouflage collage of our own, using paper cuttings to create a "disguise" for a cut-out creature that can be taken home.
