BROAD STREET GROUNDBREAKING HELD On October 9, 2019, the official groundbreaking ceremony for the Broad Street Project was held. In attendance were citizens, city and county officials, construction and planning engineers, and other community stakeholders. Broad Street will include the refurbishing of the old fire station on Mill Street into a three-station restaurant with a microbrewery, a large deck on the north, and a covered porch on the south side. New pavers, redesigned parking, underground utilities, a “Meeting Place” building, City Green, a small pavilion, and an extensive landscaping plan are also included in the project. Broad Street is a part of the City’s Blueprint Jonesboro plan, Livable Cities Initiative. Hogan Construction is the builder. The project is estimated to be an eight month project . For more details, contact City Hall.
Why you should Call 911 Calling 911 helps to prevent crime! If you do not report a theft or anything suspicious, you are setting yourself and your neighbors up to be victims. A police report can help law enforcement to connect crimes and recover stolen merchandise. Remember, IF YOU SEE IT, SAY IT. No call is too small. Make that call!
