Special CENSUS CONCERT &

CELEBRATION This FREE event is in the planning stages for Lee Street Park...please check our city website and Facebook Page for upcoming details. Dear Citizens, A Message From the MAYOR The Census 2020 reporting day is April 1, 2020. I am asking each of you to PLEASE RESPOND to the Census . Households will receive their initial invitations to respond in the next few weeks. Over $675 billion in Federal funding depends on your response. Our city sidewalks, drainage projects, public buildings and more are determined by this funding. On a larger scale, County/State funding and Representation depend on YOU responding to the Census 2020. We need the numbers! All information is kept confidential and cannot be used by immigration or law enforcement in any way. Areas of low response receive lower funding. Our City goal is 90%. Please make it a priority to respond to the Census. I invite all of you to a special Concert/Celebration at Lee Street Park on April 1. We will have computers set up to assist you in responding. I hope to see you at the Park. Let’s celebrate Census 2020!

IN LOVING MEMORY The 2020 census is YOUR census, and its success depends on YOU. It’s a once-in-a-decade chance to inform how billions of dollars of funding are allocated for critical public services like hospitals and health care clinics, schools and education programs, roads and bridges, and emergency responses for the next 10 years. Our City and County depend on this money to keep services high and to fund public projects, and

keep taxes low.
