Local Leadership Housing Action Committee for the Atlanta Regional Commission. The group will work to improve housing affordability through honest and detailed conversation about the challenges faced in tackling housing issues, learn about issues and challenges surrounding housing affordability, and sign on to a shared commitment and set of actions that will address housing challenges in their jurisdictions. Mayor Day serves on the Governing Committee and a voting Board Member at the ARC.

Called “Jonesboro Forward,” the plan will provide guidance on the best ways to use and develop land, improve infrastructure, and boost economic opportunities. The plan is set for completion within the 4th quarter of this year. All residents, property owners, civic groups, business owners, employees, and government workers are urged to complete the survey. Flags and crosses are posted twice yearly (Memorial and Veterans Day) downtown to honor deceased Veterans. A one time $20 fee will insure that your veteran is honored now and in the future. If you would like to honor a family member or a friend, complete a form at City Hall.
