Quick Start Tennis

$80/Res; $120/Non-Res

This format utilizes modified tennis balls, smaller racquets and court dimensions to provide a successful learning experience and lots of fun for players 6-10 years old. Progression is from red, orange, green to yellow (adult) balls. Ball, racquet and court transitions are based on a natural progression in technique, skill, athleticism, and age. Because each child matures differently, it is important to realize children of the same age and differing abilities may move fluidly between colored ball types (red to orange OR orange to red) based on their successes and need to improve individual specific tennis skill techniques such as serves, forehand and backhand.

CAN’T REMEMBER YOUR COLLECTION DAY? HELP IS HERE!

A new and improved waste collection reminder service is now available! Sign up for Recycle Coach by downloading the app on your mobile device. You can also locate your collection schedule by visiting lansingmi.gov/CART.

The seasonal collection of leaves, grass clippings and other yard waste materials will continue until the end of November 2022. Materials should be placed at the curbside in paper bags on your normal collection day. Do not use the City of Lansing’s trash carts or private waste hauler carts. Paper lawn care bags are available at most grocery and hardware stores. Brush and tree trimmings must be less than four-feet in length and less than two-inches in diameter, bundled securely with string or twine, not wire. Please limit all bags and bundles to no more than 30 pounds each. For more information, please visit lansingmi.gov/yardwaste.

“FEET ON THE STREET” PROGRAM

The City of Lansing is participating in the “Feet on the Street” program, which is why you may have noticed people walking in front of recycling trucks, looking in recycling carts, and leaving behind informational tags. Information that explains the program and what materials can go in bins has been mailed to households who have curbside recycling. This program will help to identify problems at the source, educate our community, and hopefully, increase participation by lessening confusion and contamination.
