Aqua Fitness Classes

Ai Chi*/ Aqua Yoga*: A water-based total body strengthening, balance, and relaxation class. Ai Chi focuses on deep breathing & slow movement and is designed to improve balance, deep breathing, flexibility & core strength. Embracing a new day with Sun Salutations and standing poses. Relax, Breathe, Flow... Aqua Cardio: Advanced. A moderate intensity, cardio-

vascular class. Each session will be different, with running, intervals, and circuits. Modifications will be offered.

Aqua Circuit: For beginner/advanced exercisers. A strong cardiovascular workout that integrates upper & lower body toning exercises. Circuit alternates aerobic with toning challenges. Aqua Core*: This class will assist you in learning to use

slow, precise movements to increase muscle strength and coordination. Different pieces of equipment will be used such as bands, weights, balls etc. to help bring the physical body into balance. This class will also help with posture and balance.

Aqua Fitness: Water exercise tones, firms, increases flexibility & muscle strength, and gives your cardiovascular system the workout it needs. It takes stress off joints & muscular-skeletal system, yet works heart & lungs. Advanced level includes swim skills. Aqua Motion*: Do you suffer from arthritis, limited range of motion, or twinges? The cushioning effect of the water takes the jarring movement out of the joints, offering an opportunity for a pain-free exercise.

Aqua Power Jog: Add cross training & variety to your

workout, and an alternative to Aqua Fitness or other land based classes. Combines strength & cardiovascular exercise.

Aqua Zumba®: Make a splash by adding a low-impact,

high-energy aquatic exercise to your fitness routine. It blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance. There is less impact on your joints, so you can really let loose. The natural resistance means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.

Deep Water: This class is in the deep end of the pool and is designed to improve cardiovascular, muscle strength, core and flexibility. Belts/noodles are provided for flotation. NO CLASSES in observance of holiday closures: 11/26, 12/24, 12/31. Sessions are held at Loveland High School (LVLD) for fall/winter/spring; Summer at Winona Pool.

Hydro Dance: An opportunity to get "fit” and have fun

while learning dance routines in the water. A fun, challenging work out that utilizes the resistance of the water.

River Walking*: Advanced Water Walking that goes

against the current in the Leisure Pool, Lazy River feature.

Water Walking*: Work at your own pace while walking,

marching, lunging, and side stepping through the pool. An excellent class for those with joint replacement or anticipating the surgery.
