TROTT PARK

Trott Park transformed

Trott Park has been buzzing with excitement since the official opening of it's brand new playground and upgrade reserve.

Thanks to funding from Marion Council and the Australian Government, the lively reserve at Hessing Crescent now features a fantastic play structure, including:

> Two thrilling slides

> A fun tunnel

> Climbing and rope play

> Swings

> Musical play elements

> Giant chess

> Rock and wood play items

A great place to play.

Additional upgrades include new soccer goals, basketball and netball rings, community garden beds with native edible plants and a pathway leading to the creek.

Come and explore the new playground and upgrades at Trott Park – a perfect spot for families to gather, play, and connect with nature. Plus, the space is available for hire.

The Australian Government provided funding under its Investing in Our Communities Program.

Meet Hannah

Behind the coffee machine at Trott Park or in the Cooinda Café, you’ll find Hannah.

Through her time spent volunteering, Hannah has developed valuable skills in connecting with others, engaging in meaningful conversations, and meeting new people.

The favourite thing she has learnt however, is developing her skills around her love of coffee.

“What I love about volunteering with coffee is that it engages all my senses—the smell, the noise of the machine, the taste, and the look of people enjoying it”.

For Hannah, the best part of volunteering is also the friendships she’s formed along the way.

“Cooinda feels like a home and a place I belong…. It is where my people are”.

So next time you visit Chatty Cafe at Trott Park or Cooinda Café, be sure to say hi to Hannah!

You’ll not only enjoy a delicious cup of coffee but be greeted with a friendly smile.
