Summer Reading Club

Visit any Marion Library Service branch during opening hours from Monday 11 November –Sunday 8 December to donate new children's books.

These books will be donated to The Smith Family to distribute to families in need of support this Christmas.

It's Not Easy Being Green: Keeping Adelaide's Trees Healthy in a Changing Climate, with Dr Stefan Caddy-Retalic With Adelaide’s climate shifting, we need trees to keep our city cool and liveable. But growing trees in increasingly warm and dry conditions is a challenge.

Join Dr Stefan Caddy-Retalic as he discusses: which trees dominate our urban forest, what vulnerabilities they might have and how we can improve our tree management for a cooler, greener future.

This event is hosted in partnership between City of Marion Libraries and City of Marion Environment team.

Art and Mindfulness: Patterns and Presence

Enhance your mental wellbeing in recognition of world mental health day, by exploring mindfulness and the creative process of art making. In this adult workshop, you will create patterns on colourful shapes using all of your senses. These pattern shapes will craft intuitive collages, expressing your inner world in a supportive environment. No art skills are needed – just a willingness to explore and have fun. We are excited to be bringing back our popular short story competition Just Write – for Kids, during the summer holidays. Just the thing to encourage and inspire budding authors while also challenging them to improve their writing skills.

Just Write: Children's Writing Workshop

The Finn Tribute
