Powerlifting Basics and Beyond

Learn the correct methods and execution of the three lifts in powerlifting in addition to the exercises and lifts that accompany them. Youth Sports Performance Training

Designed to help participants improve in each of the five biomotor abilities with each workout: strength, speed, endurance, agility and coordination and flexibility, this training can also help develop proper habits that may reduce the risk of injuries.

Strength training will focus on progressively developing upper and lower body strength, core strength and stability through various periodization models. Speed training will focus on mastering efficient movement mechanics to optimize acceleration and maximum speed movement pertaining specifically to a given sport. Endurance training will progress from general to specific intervals, shuttle and sprint training. Participants will become proficient at proper running and acceleration techniques. Flexibility is emphasized with each session and each athlete will be stretched at the conclusion.

Youth Weight Room Orientation • Ages 12–15

Those who are ages 12–15 are required to enroll in and pass the Weight Room Orientation class before being permitted to use the Fitness Center, including the Weight Room. Group Fitness

“Upgrade” your annual Renaud Center membership for only $5.42 more per month to include all of our group fitness classes, even Cycling, Boot Camp and Yoga! All sessions are for ages 16+, or 12+ if accompanied by an adult. If you don’t have an upgraded membership but want to take a class, you can sign up for an entire six-week session. Fees are listed below or at www.renaudcenter.com.

Drop-In Fitness Class Pass

If you are just visiting or want to try one of our fitness classes before you commit to upgrading your membership you can purchase a drop-in pass to try before you buy! Space is open on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that some classes might have been cancelled due to low registration.

Strong by Zumba: Kickboxing and plyometric drills choreographed to music. Body Sculpt: Strength training and toning exercises using Dumbbells, resistance tubing, stability balls and more. Dance Fitness: Fun and modern dance moves with easy to follow choreography! Athletic Conditioning: Athletic interval style workout using body weight and resistance training exercises. HIGH Fitness: Hardcore, fun fitness class that incorporates aerobic interval training with music you love and intense, easy to follow fitness choreography. Power Sport: High intensity intervals using a combination of plyometerics, drills and strength training. PiYo Strength: Faster paced Yoga and Pilates based moves choreographed to music and combined with athletic drills and core conditioning. Barre Conditioning: Flow type exercises utilizing the Barre to help improve balance, posture, flexibility, coordination, core strength, and muscle tone. Step Interval: Choreographed step class with intervals of weights, abdominal exercises and a relaxing cool down. Total Body Conditioning: Cardio, toning, balance and strength! A Total Body workout designed to do it all! Core Conditioning: Fire up your abs, lower back and glutes to improve posture and build a stronger more powerful core. Total Body Blast: Cardio, resistance, and strength training designed to increase stability, strength and endurance. Zumba: Easy to follow dance workout that incorporates fun music with fast and slow rhythms. Zumba Toning: Same ZUMBA dance party but with an emphasis on toning and sculpting. Yoga: Combinations poses designed to help build strength, improve posture, flexibility and balance. Cycle and Circuit: Indoor cycling intervals combined with around-the-room circuit style training exercises. Group Cycle: A class on the indoor cycling bikes utilizing speed, endurance, and resistance intervals. Boot Camp: Basic calisthenics combined with resistance and weight training. Tabata and Tone: Specifically timed intervals of simple yet intense cardio and strength training exercises. Functional Flexibility for Seniors: Stretching and Flexibility exercises designed for Seniors (must be able to get on the ground). Silver Sneakers Stability: Beginner Balance class that focusses on strengthening the ankle, knee and hip joints. S.W.A.T Senior Weights and Toning: Intermediate strength training class designed for seniors utilizing a variety of equipment. Silver Sneakers — Cardio Fit: Intermediate level cardio class with aerobic movements designed to get the heart pumping. Silver Sneakers — Cardio Classic: Beginner chair-based class designed to improve mobility, balance and posture.

Interval Training for Boomers

at Krekel Civic Center and O’Day Lodge locations This class designed for “Boomers” incorporates athletic-based exercises that improve upper body conditioning. You’ll move through several intervals or “blocks,” which are groups of exercises that focus on different muscle groups including short burst of cardio to strengthen the heart. The focus of this class is on toning muscles and improving overall strength and fitness.
