Upcoming Art Exhibitions

Kristen Tordella-Williams

At the O’Fallon City Hall Gallery

May – August

Kristen’s interests lie in the layers of the impressions left by our bodies on the environment around us and the reciprocal impressions our bodies hold from the wear and tear of living. She gathers and re-interprets the remnants of labor, identity, gender, and memory, discovered or made. Kristen is inspired by processes such as performance, papermaking, sculpture or printmaking as well as materials commonly found in hardware stores, supermarkets and recycling bins.

Dolores Jensen

At the Krekel Civic Center Gallery

May – August

I have been creating art for as long as I can remember. I remember asking for yet another doll for Christmas when I was about 10 and my parents bought me a set of oil paints instead. I also loved copying the cartoons in the Sunday paper each week, trying to draw them as accurately as possible. I always had a sketch pad going. After graduation from St. Dominic High School in O’Fallon, Missouri, I attended Florissant Valley Community College.

Beth Mayfield-House

At the Renaud Center Gallery

May – August

Art is a lens through which I examine my physical world and my inner reality. It allows me to digest my memories and explore concepts of beauty, love, and pain that circulate through my life. I view my process as holding a magnifying glass up to my subject. Though I don’t find many answers through my paintings, my work is really about the search, the journey, and my ever-shifting perspective of reality; with the pursuit of making something beautiful.
