WELCOME DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE Welcome to summer time in the beautiful Truckee Meadows. The Reno City Council is proud of our stellar reputation for outdoor recreation. Parks are at the core of Reno’s outdoor recreational activities. The City strives for everyone to have easy access to parks and recreation opportunities in sustainable communities. In Reno, parks and recreation enhance the quality of life for all people and we are dedicated to providing the services you’ll find in this brochure. July is recognized as Parks and Recreation Month. We would challenge everyone in Reno to spend time at one of our facilities or parks. Whether at a summer camp, an adult sports league, swimming at Idlewild Pool, Zumba class, enjoying a family picnic, or discovering nature — parks and play go hand in hand. I hope that you have a wonderful summer and hope to see you at one of our facilities. Thank you for your support.
Andy Bass Director of Parks, Recreation & Community Services
