Soccer Tots

SoccerTots is our flagship program! These soccer-themed motor skill classes are very easy for youngsters to get into. Younger age groups focus on developing motor skills and self-con dence; older classes focus more on developing core soccer skills and personal focus, and introduce an element of light competition. Instructor-to-student ratio is kept small to maximize individual development, and above all else we promote fun, fun, fun! Parent participation required for ages 2-3.5 years.

Don't wait for another tempo-tantrum from your musical child, join us for a fun, play-based exploration of music! Out of School Break Camps

Spend your school break with us at Camp Shoreline. Each day is lled with playing indoor/outdoor games and getting creative with lots of arts, crafts, cooking and wild activities in our classroom. Camp is led by trained sta and meets at the Spartan Recreation Center. Please bring a water bottle, snacks, and a sack lunch. Be sure to wear tennis shoes/sneakers and dress in layers for indoor and outdoor play.

Sign up for this free service for campers signed up for our specialty camps based at Spartan and/or on the Spartan campus. Campers must be participating in BOTH a morning (9am - 12pm) AND afternoon (1-4pm) specialty camp. A Shoreline sta member will pick up your child at their morning camp location, supervise them during lunch time and bring them to their afternoon camp location.

Start 2025 by making great memories with Hang Time, the best way for Kellogg Middle School students to spend their time after school! Gentle Yoga

Practicing Yoga is a great way to bring greater comfort and ease to the body and mind. Yoga increases exibility, joint mobility, strength, balance and coordination while it calms the mind and improves breathing. Please join us for Gentle Yoga with Suzanne Pardee, a class suitable for beginning and intermediate students. Suzanne has been teaching Yoga since1999 and is certi ed in the Ananda Yoga style. Moisture Festival Variety Show

We’re taking the Shoreline Light Rail down to Capitol Hill in Seattle for a 2 hour show and dinner. Moisture Festival is an indoor seated variety show featuring highly skilled performers often with imaginative, humorous and sometimes bizarre talents. Acrobats, jugglers, magicians, comedians, dancers, singers and clowns, the weird and the wonderful all keeping the tradition of Comedy/Varieté/Vaudeville alive. After the show we’ll walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner before walking back to the Capitol Hill light Rail station to head back to Shoreline. Rockport Old Growth Forest Hike

The old growth forests at Rockport State Park are estimated to be between 400-600 years old. Moisture Festival Variety Show

Longview Peak and Far Country Lookout Loop Hike

We’re climbing up Cougar Mountain! This challenging hike includes 1,200ft of elevation gain that climbs and descends hills in a loop around 6 miles of trails surrounding the eastern part of Cougar Mountain in Issaquah. We’ll explore thick forests, gorgeous waterfalls and several lookout points, including Longview Peak on our 5 hour hiking adventure. Trails are well maintained and relatively smooth but this hike is rated very di cult for the distance and elevation gain that requires a higher level of tness to complete. Transportation and trip leader included, bring a sack lunch to eat on the trail.

Whidbey Island Rhododendron Garden Tour

Built in the 1960’s, Meerkerk Rhododendron Garden features 1,500+ varieties across 10 acres of display gardens that bloom in May. Enjoy a 2 hour guided walking tour followed by some exploration of the 43 acres of second growth forest surrounding the property. After, we’ll stop at a couple other destinations on South Whidbey Island as we make our way back to the ferry. Transportation, trip leader and garden tour included. Lake Serene Mine & Bridal Veil Falls

Head out to the cascade foothills to hike up Bridal Veil Falls and visit the Lake Serene Mine. This abandoned copper mine was active during the early 20th century and has some relics that can be spotted along the way to the small mine entrance. We’ll take a peak in the mine and learn a bit about its history. This hike is 4 miles roundtrip with about 1000ft of elevation gain. The trail is rough with stairs and there will be areas where you’ll need to climb over large tree roots and very uneven surfaces. Please bring a ashlight if you plan on joining us in exploring the mine. Wearing sturdy hiking shoes will be necessary. Transportation and trip leader included.

Our registration system is quick and easy as 1-2-3!

Requests for reservations are taken on a rst-come, rstserved basis. Reservation requests are accepted online only up to 180 days in advance. All reservations must be requested at least 7 days in advance.

The Paramount School Park shelter is adjacent to the children’s play area, paved walking trail, ball elds and the Connie King Skate Park.

Refund Due to City Cancellation

Classes, camps, programs, trips or workshops/ special events cancelled by the City of Shoreline will result in a 100% refund of the program fee paid.

Cancellation Due to Weather

Refunds will not be issued for reasons of inclement weather, unless it results in the closure of the City facility hosting the event during the time of session or rental.

Class Fee First Day

Program fees may be refunded in full for any reason after the rst day of class, as long as the refund is requested prior to the second day of class.

Class Fee Second Day

After the second day of class, but prior to the third, requested refunds will be pro-rated per the registration fee paid and the total number of classes.

Class Fee Third Day

Refunds will not be issued after the third day of class, unless an exception is granted. Requests for an exception to this policy must be submitted in writing prior to the fourth class and must be approved by the RCCS Director. The City has sole discretion to decide whether or not to grant this exception.

Day/ Workshops/Single Trips

Refunds will be issued if the request is received at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the activity day.

Drop-In Admissions

Refund requests must be made at the registration desk prior to leaving the facility on the day of use. All refund requests are at the discretion of the City.

Camps

Camp refunds are subject to an administration fee per participant, per camp except transfers, if applicable. A full refund, less the administration fee, will be issued if the request is received at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the rst day of camp. No refund will be issued if the request is received less than 14 calendar days before the rst day of camp. Transfers (Summer Camps). A participant may request to transfer to another camp with available space if the request is received at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the rst day of camp. If transferring from one camp into another, the administration fee will be waived. The transfer must be made at the same time as the withdrawal and for the same participant.

Permit Cancellation

Indoor Facilities: Refunds will be issued if the Facility Indoor Use Permit is canceled at least fourteen (14) days before the day of the event. Any Security Deposit received for this rental will be fully refunded. Outdoor Facility: Refunds will be issued if the Rental Use and Park and Open Space Non-Exclusive Use Permit is canceled at least seven (7) calendar days before the day of the event. Any Security Deposit received for this rental will be fully refunded. Please review Athletic Field and Tennis Court Rental Use Permit Cancellation for exceptions.

Registration Associated with Special Events

All registrations associated with special events are non-refundable.

Waitlist Refunds

For those that are on a class waitlist that attend after the start date, requests for refund shall be treated as if the rst day of attendance is the rst day of class.

Pro-Rated Refunds

Class fee refunds will not be pro-rated when registering after the start date except for those entering from the wait-list.

Refund of Security Deposits

The City will inspect the designated facility/ area in the Rental Use Permit after usage to determine if any damage occurred. If damage occurred, the City will assess the cost to mitigate the damage and retain that amount from the Security Deposit. The Security Deposit may also be retained if all conditions of the permit are not adhered to, or an extra on-site sta is required during the permitted time. Any remainder of the Security Deposit will be refunded. Should no damage occur, all conditions of the permit are met, and extra sta time is not required, the Security Deposit will be fully refunded.

No Pro-Rated Membership Refunds

All memberships are for the speci ed amount of time from purchase date. Pro-rated refunds are not permitted for unused portion of purchased time.

Exemptions

Requested exemptions from this policy may be submitted in writing to the Recreation Superintendent and require approval by the RCCS Director.

Concession Permits

The City may, at its sole discretion, cancel a permit anytime due to an emergency, severe weather which merits either School District or City facility closures, power outage, or situations that may result in facility damage or personal injury as determined by the RCCS Director. In such instances, the permittee will be entitled to a 100% refund. All other permit refunds must be requested 30 days prior to scheduled use.

Athletic Field and Tennis Court

Rental Use Permit Cancellation

Athletic Field and Tennis Court Rental Use Permits canceled by the Renter less than seven (7) calendar days, but at least 24 hours prior to the date/time of the rental will be issued a 50% refund of fees or $50, whichever is less. Rental Use Permits canceled 24 hours or less prior to the date/time will not receive a refund. Any Security Deposit received for this rental will be 100% refunded.
