Senior Programs

Cost: Included in Annual Membership Ages: 55+

We offer a variety of programs and special events for our Active Adults 55 and over. Our members enjoy outings, wellness activities and health screenings, as well as special events and classes. We have been partners with Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia for many years offering nutritious meals, transportation, health screenings, and resource information for this growing population.

“Stay Strong” Senior Aerobics

Dates: August 31 – September 23 Days: Mondays and Wednesdays Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Cost: FREE with Annual and Fitness Membership Ages: 55+ Location: Facebook Live An hour class for active adults that targets muscular strength, muscular endurance, improves cardiopulmonary and mental health. The class comes free with an annual and fitness membership.

Senior Aerobics

Dates: September 8 - October 15 and October 27 - December 10 Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays Time: 10:00 - 11:00 AM Cost: $12 per session Ages: 55+ Ages: 55+ Location: Facebook Live This class focuses on floor aerobics, which increases your mobility, balance, strength, and flexibility!

Bridge Program

Days: Thursdays Time: 4:30 -6:00 PM Cost: Included with Annual Membership Location: East Suffolk Recreation Center Calling all bridge players for some fun hands of bridge! Come to play and socialize with other bridge players. If you are interested in learning this game, you are invited. For beginners, instruction will be taught, as well!

Line Dancing

Days/Times: Mondays 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Thursdays 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Cost: $20 per session Ages: 18+ Location: Facebook Live or Zoom Learn new & exciting line dances such as the Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, Mississippi Slide, Anytime & Temptations Cha-Cha, Same Ole 2 Step, and many more! Our Line Dancing classes are set to the latest R&B music; it’s a great way to relieve stress, exercise, and most of all have fun!
