Birthday Fun!

IT’S PARTY TIME! Dance Parties Come dance with us on your birthday! Parties designed specifically to your child’s age group. Saturdays only. $125 to $150. Kid Karate The beginner Karate program is taught by a Black Belt Instructor and will teach self-defense training for boys and girls. This active sport builds self confidence. 10 week program Location: Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex Ages 4-6 years & 7-10 years Cost $65 Begins week of September 19.

Monkeynastix Monkeynastix is a fun, challenging, non-competitive movement education fitness program for children. A qualified instructor will have your children active for this 30-minute class once a week. Lessons include a warm up to music, stretch, eye/hand/foot activities, fine and gross motor skills, movement to music and working with specialised equipment. T-shirt and participation awards included. 10 week program Location: Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex Ages 1-2 years & Ages 3-4 years Cost $115 (Parents must participate with their children in the 1-2 years program) Begins week of September 19.

Soccer Agility Conditioning With an emphasis on quickness and agility, this program is designed to train the feet to move more quickly and move efficiently. Speed combined with fine-tuned agility will give your young athlete a huge advantage on the field, keeping your child ahead of the competition. Not only does this program train players cutting movements, and the ability to change direction but will also teach proper movement mechanics. 5 week program Offered in September, October and November Location: Albert McCormick Community Centre Ages 5-8 years & Ages 9-14 years Cost $115

Mom & Baby Yoga Bring your baby along with you and participate in this Yoga program. Learn yoga postures, breathing and other techniques while bonding with your baby. This program is designed for children 3-12 months old. Due to age prerequisites you will register the child for this program. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MAT. 10 week program Location: Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex Ages 3 months and up Cost $110 Begins week of September 19.

Parent and Teen Yoga Come with your parent or teen for this unique Yoga program. This opportunity to do a program together will be a fun experience while you learn yoga postures, breathing and other techniques. Sport Agility Conditioning This program for children will stimulate your child's muscles, movements and joints by participating in fun moves and skills. TIME OUT for Moms,Tots & Pops A chance for mothers, fathers and caregivers of children aged newborn to six years to interact with each other through creative play and action games. The program offers unrestricted floor space, allowing children to develop their gross motor skills. Parents are required to supervise children at all times.

Kids’ Dance Craze Join us for our recreational, co-ed dance classes held at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. We offer children an opportunity to learn the basics of jazz, ballet, and creative movement in a non-competitive, relaxed environment. Our 10-week Fall session begins the week of September 19. The City of Waterloo supports local dance studios and would encourage participants wishing to pursue dance beyond an introductory level to do so at a private studio. If you have not received these numbers, call (519) 886-1177 prior to registration to set up your account. 2. In Person Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex & RIM Park — open daily, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Adult Recreation Centre, Wing 404 RCAFA Adult Centre, and Albert McCormick Community Centre — open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 3. Internet Registration In order to use this service, you will require a Family PIN and a Client Number for each family member. Fee Assistance Leisure Access Program: Fee Assistance is available to Waterloo residents with low income participating in City of Waterloo and affiliated minor sports & arts programs. To apply for Fee Assistance you must complete an application form* and submit it prior to registration. Once approved, you will receive a Leisure Access Card to show at the time of registration to verify the fee assistance payment.
