CONNECTING THE REGION What to Know About Rapid5

Westerville residents are encouraged to provide their feedback on RAPID 5, a planning process to better connect Central Ohio residents to natural resources and recreational opportunities in the region. Led by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Columbus and the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), the initiative seeks to bring communities together to create a shared vision to develop one of the largest interconnected networks of green spaces in the country. The plan will reframe the connectivity of the Columbus Region based on natural geography defined by regional waterways. The City has joined neighboring communities like New Albany and Worthington as silver-level supporters. Organizers see the benefits of RAPID 5 extending far beyond an open space network, focusing on the potential positive impacts to economic vitality, resident health, environmental stewardship, mobility and social equity. To share your vision for a better-connected region, visit www.therapidproject.org.
