New Cycling Room

Ready to Ride The recently-added group cycling room provides another opportunity in a wide range of fitness options at the Westerville Community Center. The room, just inside the north entrance, is part of the recently-completed Westerville Community Center expansion. “This is one of the areas we were looking forward to most with our expansion,” said Mike Herron, Westerville Fitness and Wellness Manager. “While we have several other areas with cycling equipment, this room is specifically designed for group cycling classes.” The room houses nine Schwinn X Bikes, with room for eight participants and one instructor under current social distancing guidelines. All classes will be instructorled, and each will be 45-60 minutes in length. “Each bike will be reservable just like a lap lane in the pool,” Herron added. “While we look to be able to accommodate additional bikes for participants soon, this room will provide an extra layer to our fitness offerings here at the Center.” Two classes are being offered this session (see right column). For more information on classes in the group cycling room, visit www.westerville.org/registration.
