Te Wai Horotiu Station Progress and upcoming milestones
Gifted station name was noted Te Wai Horotiu Station – feedback can be provided to NZ Geographic Board consultation process. Link Alliance streetscape scope/progress There was general awareness that after underground structural works are completed then streetscape works will begin - this is expected by early 2023, running until late 2024. This timeframe is subject to change, given significant resource and material constraints. Te Ha Noa Linear Park - Full Linear Park works are not included with the Te Wai Horotiu Station scope or milestones – suggestion to communicate these separately as part of overall midtown communications. - Te Ha Noa works between Elliott / Queen / Kitchener are being carried out by Auckland Council.
3.
Community interface and Small Business Support Programme
Small Business Support Programme 2021 pilot has been evaluated, with positive results and support from businesses to continue. The programme will be relaunched in June, and the microgrant amount increased to $3000.
William Keung to contact businesses

Social Impact & Business Disruption discussion
Public toilets - Some comments around lack of public toilets in the city centre / midtown area. Some business owners are experiencing public urinating in front of their business doors. - Link Alliance noted the range of measures it has in place to support safety and security in the area (see below section on safety) - It was also noted that public toilet provision is the responsibility of Auckland Council. Safety in the area - Rough sleepers continue to generate some complaints from community members - See slide 27 for a detailed overview of the safety measures Link Alliance has implemented.
Ben (Auckland Council) to followup
Dust & cleanliness - The next round of window cleaning is scheduled to take place approximately following completion of roof slabs, for businesses on Victoria Street. Noise & vibration - Some businesses in attendance advised they have experienced significant noise and vibrations, but noted it was not all the time. - Businesses continue to request that all noise and vibration mitigations are in place, especially noise protection mats/hoardings. Loading zones - Auckland Transport representative provided information about loading zone enforcement. Lighting and business attraction measures - It was noted that overall lighting improvements have helped some businesses on Victoria Street. - Request for more lighting/signage to be installed on Victoria Street, near the intersection with Elliott Street.
