Cable Hauling
We have a total of 503,000m of cable to install.
Currently at 360,000m installed.
Two shifts in operation. 184 men on site.
Main Transformer Livening

Main switchboards installed, connected and ready to liven
We have completed the installation of all four main switchboards (MSBs). All incoming supply cables and all outgoing supply cables are installed.
These four MSBs supply power across our station.
Very strict controls are in place to manage the rooms and equipment across the station as power is applied.
Equipment Installation and Livening
• Termination of distribution boards is well underway.
• There are 66 boards downstream of the MSBs to be installed.
• The progressive livening will allow critical system poweron to be achieved.
• The main communications rooms have had cabling pulled and coiled.
Tunnel Ventilation Fan Installation
• Installation of the fans is well underway.
• There are five fans across Karang-aHape station – two in Beresford Square and three in Mercury Lane.
• The fans were manufactured in Germany.
• The rest of the metalworkshrouds and attenuators - were all locally manufactured.
• Door installation is progressing (80% of the total doors have been delivered to the site).
• The installation of access stairs, ladders, balustrades, and MEFH Riser floor grating is progressing.
• Epoxy floor finishes are progressing and protected to accept MEFH equipment delivery.
• Platform Terrazzo flooring, end of platform cladding (Shadowbox) and ceilings are progressing.
• Porcelain wall cladding is progressing in the Mercury (MLA) and Beresford (BSQ) entrance escalator shafts.
• Ceiling grid is progressing at the Beresford entrance and Beresford escalator shafts.
• MLA 4th Element cladding is progressing.
• MLA and BSQ service block louvre installation is completed.
• BSQ service block cladding is progressing (vertical fins in front of the louvres are installed)
• BSQ entrance window glazing is completed, and the MLA glazing subframe is progressing.
