Events & initiatives
• Successful Christmas Block of Line with C&E initiatives: Mr Whippy, coffee carts, and movies in Te Manawa supporting significant construction outcomes.
• Upcoming Videos – Escalator install, Station building waterwall, Aroha in Uptown, and January Drone footage is live.
• Revised ArtWalk brochures now in the CRL Visitor Centre at Te Manawa.

• Fenton Street Bridge span was successfully lifted over the Christmas Block of Line.
• Station Building concrete panels are all installed for the 'Front' and 'Back of House'.
• Roof structure for the Ventilation Building is being installed.
• First set of escalators for the Station have been installed on the Western Line platform.
• Installed the stairs and lift shaft structure for CRL platform and will begin installing the overpass structure.
• Concreting work continues in the MC50 tunnel.
• Mined Tunnelling team have completed work in the MC30 tunnel.
• Team are working in the MC20/50 cavern with concreting works, formworks, and waterproofing works.
• All mined tunnelling activity is expected to be completed in May 2023.
What do we do?
• The team delivers Architectural scope for the Maungawhau Station Building and Ventilation Building, as well as the North Auckland Line and City Rail Link platforms.
• Glass façade panels have been installed on the Western Line platform canopy and Station Building overpass.
• The installation of the Waterwall feature in the Station Building has commenced.
• All 53 lava coloured glass triangles have been created and will be placed into the waterwall feature at the end of this year.
• Normanby Road Bridge is complete and opened to the public at the end of December 2022.
• Remaining works within Boston Road (west)/Normanby Road currently being completed then follow-on with Boston Road (east) works.
• Mt Eden Road drainage installation to be completed end of March then reinstatement works along eastern side of road. • Porters Avenue Bridge elevators installed; outstanding works being completed.
• Porters Avenue streetscapes are progressing including work on new footpaths, kerbing, and road resurfacing.
• Haultain Street/Fenton Street streetscape works to follow-on once Porters Avenue completed.
• Fit-out works consist of pouring 'foundation' concrete for rail track along with installing cable support brackets and emergency walkways.
• Fit-out works for MC30/60 (Maungawhau to Karangahape) largely complete and track installation underway.
• Fit-out teams working in various areas of the tunnels.
• Over Christmas Block of Line, completed work on the overhead lines and tracks for the second Western Line track (MC40).
• Once signal installation and repair work is complete, MC40 track will be comissioned in Easter Block of Line. Dual line running will restart soon after
• Track building in the MC60 tunnel towards Karanga a Hape, including deliveries of rail and blocks.
• Upcoming Blocks of Line are 4 & 11 March, 1-3 April, Easter 6-11 April.
