Communications and Engagement Update
• Te Manawa Visitor Information Centre open
• 'Quiet Space' now open again 3 days per week • New water tank art and chalk 'jam wall' installed • Mr Whippy activations • Name the crane competition - 'Tui' • Significant works in the west

Basque Park Update
• This month we also had one of our smallest tunnel breakthrough on site.
• Drill rig now successfully drilled underneath New North Road from Basque Park to our main site. With the micro tunnel now in place, the team are getting ready to pull a 5.6 metre wide pipeline through the tunnel using a pully system.
• Next step is small extension on the hoarding to connect pipes. This extension will be in place for approx. 3 weeks.
• Newly installed art on our hoardings has gathered positive feedback from the surrounding community.
• Coming up: pop up info day in the park late March.

Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Update • Front section of the TBM has returned from Aotea Station and is being reassembled near the tunnel portal
• Gantries (rest of the machine) have been transported back through the tunnel into the Mt Eden site
• Preparation for track installation begins this week with concrete pours for the tunnel floor
• 24/7 tunnelling night works continue in preparation for the next tunnel drive
• Current night works include welding the TBM front section back together • Second tunnel drive to commence in May, when the TBM's conveyor belt, spoil removal and other associated activities on site will all commence again 24/7.

• Roof of Eastern Grade Separation (EGS) now complete • Excavation beneath EGS roof progressing well and 'daylighted' • 1000 bore piles installed to date • Piling progressing well at both ends of rail corridor
• Precast beams for southern span of Normanby Road bridge to be installed in early March
• Porters Ave footbridge piers completed and main span to be installed late March.

Infrastructure assessments: To understand the three waters, transport and social infrastructure needed in the area.

Public realm investigation: Following infrastructure assessments, we will analyse potential public realm projects to improve the area.

Development outcomes: Analysis underway on best development approach to achieve foundation outcomes, in particular affordable housing.
