3 CRL is formally naming its stations with the four te reo names gifted by the project’s Mana Whenua Forum. NZGB official decision expected in late 2022. • Waitematā Station (Britomart) • Te Wai Horotiu Station (Aotea) • Karanga a Hape Station (Karangahape) • Maungawhau Station (Mt Eden) Meet Your Stations

• Waitematā = wai (water), matā (obsidian)

• Because it is still an operational station, it will still be referred to as Britomart Station by AT & KR

• Once CRL is complete, the new name will take effect and it will be called Waitematā Station by all.

• Gifted name recognises the nearby Waitematā Harbour & land reclamation.

• CRL will refer to the station as Waitematā Station (Britomart) to socialise the name.

1. Station staff room modifications to allow the removal of facilities from the tunnel portals to allow track and overhead construction. This activity is nearly complete.
