Depending on the treatment methods used by the individual spa establishments, the procedures are divided into five groups. First group (I): Traditional (classical, standard) methods of spa treatment based mainly on the use of natural curative resources (water, peloids, gases and climate). Second group (II): Traditional (classical, standard, but also more modern) methods of spa treatment which are not based on the use of natural curative resources – but have been generally in use for a long time in the spa (such as methods based on the use of electric current, magnetism and so on).
Third group (III): Non-traditional methods of spa treatment which have been introduced in the last few decades and which are mostly based on Eastern influences or influences that are a reflection of wellness. Fourth group (IV): Services that are not therapeutic but are a suitable complement to the spa services – services in the area of cosmetics, kinaesthetic activities and so on. Fifth group (V): Other examination and medical methods.
