Members enjoy a year of unlimited free admission; speedy entry; discounts at our Café, Gift Shop and IMAX Theatre; special events and much more. Join when you visit and we’ll apply the cost of admission to your membership.

Hours Monday – Friday: 9 am – 5 pm; Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 9 am – 6 pm; closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day; open at 12 noon New Year’s Day; extended summer hours ( July 1 – Labor Day)

Restaurants/Gift Shop The Harbor View Café and The Reef (open on the Aquarium Plaza during summer months) offer a variety of family-friendly lunch options including burgers, salads, sandwiches and drinks.

Our Gift Shop has something fun and educational for everyone.

Take a trip to exotic waters with more than 70 exhibits featuring aquatic animals from around the world. See energetic young sea lions bound through their open-air exhibit overlooking Boston Harbor, which they share with Northern fur seals.

Head inside to greet more than 80 penguins, then wind your way around the four-story Giant Ocean Tank, home to a huge Caribbean coral reef. Feel the smooth wing of a ray, let a hermit crab scurry across your palm and see if you can spot a camouflaged leafy seadragon. Feel the smooth wing of a friendly cownose ray in this mangrove-themed tank surrounded by shallow edges and viewing windows. The 25,000-gallon exhibit also lets visitors touch bonnethead sharks, Atlantic rays, epaulette sharks and more.
