A Park Pass and a valid Season Pass or lift ticket are required for access to the Terrain Park. The Pass is available to anyone 8 years of age or older. Students visiting Blue Mountain as part of a school visit are not permitted in the Park. To get your Terrain Park Pass, you must obtain an orientation DVD from Guest Services and complete a waiver. Returning riders may sign a new waiver for the 2012/13 season and pay the Pass fee. The waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian for all riders under the age of 18. Please note that a $10 fee will be charged to replace lost passes.

Blue Mountain’s Rental Centres offer a complete line of snowboard and ski equipment from some of the world’s best brands. Whether you’re new to the slopes or a seasoned snow warrior, you’ll find everything you need right here. Our Rental Centres are conveniently located at the Tickets & Rentals Building and South Base Lodge. Both Rental Centres are open from 8:30 am to 10 pm daily. Our Ski Valet service allows you to store your skis and snowboards at one of two sites overnight or while you break to enjoy the Village. A credit card deposit is required for all rental equipment.

Please note: Freestyle Terrain may contain jumps, hits, ramps, embankments, fun boxes, jibs, rails, half-pipes, quarter-pipes, snowcross, freestyle bump terrain and other constructed or natural terrain features. “Freestyle Skills” require you to maintain control on the ground and in the air. IMPORTANT: Freestyle Terrain has four levels of progression and designation for size. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the terrain before attempting any of the features and to obey all instructions and warnings listed in the Alpine Responsibility Code on page 21.

Ridge Runner is Blue Mountain Resort’s four-season thrill ride and the perfect complement to a day on the slopes. Control your own speed as you twist and turn, zig and zag, down the Niagara Escarpment, through the trees and over diverse terrain on Ontario’s only Mountain Coaster. Ridge Runner’s open-air seating heightens the excitement while offering riders an unparalleled view of the area’s magnificent landscape.

There are elements of risk that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Please adhere to the code listed below and share with others the responsibility for a safe experience. 1. Observe and obey all posted signs and instructions from staff. 2. Do not stop on track until finish area — except in case of emergency. 3. Seatbelts must be worn at all times. Removal of seatbelts may result in serious injury or death. 4. You must not use coaster if your ability is impaired through use of alcohol or drugs. 5. You must control your speed keeping a safe distance behind the cart ahead. Tailgating is prohibited. If track is wet or icy you must increase the distance between carts due to longer braking distance. 6. People ahead of you have the right-of-way. It is your responsibility to avoid colliding with them. 7. Keep hands on both brake handles and arms and legs inside cart at all times. 8. Face direction of travel at all times. Never turn around, lie down, kneel or stand. 9. If ride stops you must remain in cart with your seat belt fastened until ride starts again or you are instructed otherwise by staff.

Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster Rider Restrictions

1. Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn. No bare feet allowed. 2. No loose articles, hats or scarves are permitted on ride. Long hair must be tied back or tucked inside clothing. 3. You must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to safely load, ride and unload the coaster. If in doubt, ask the attendant. 4. To ride alone you must be at least 12 years of age and 137 cm (54 in) tall. 5. Children 3 to 11 years of age must ride with an adult. 6. Children under 3 years of age are not permitted on ride. 7. Maximum weight per cart is 150 kilograms (330 lbs). Know the Code — Be Safety Conscious. It is Your Responsibility! Failure to adhere to the Code will result in the suspension of ride privileges.

If you’re new to the sport and 13 years or older, our Discover Skiing & Snowboarding Circuit provides a smooth introduction to the slopes and allows you to progress at your own pace. Many of our popular programs fill up fast, so schedule your ski and snowboard lesson now. Participants in lessons receive lift line priority.

Helmets are mandatory for skiers and snowboarders ages 17 and younger in lessons.

Cancellation Policy 24-Hour Ski & Snowboard School Cancellation Policy (applies to all our daily lessons and childcare): • If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance: You may reschedule or we will refund your payment. • If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your lesson: You may reschedule or we will refund your payment less a $15 administration fee. • If you cancel after a lesson has begun: We will be unable to offer a refund or rescheduled lesson. • Lessons and programs will not be cancelled or refunded due to inclement or less-than-ideal weather conditions. Note: Any rescheduled lesson not taken by the end of the season in which it was purchased will be cancelled and payment forfeited upon spring closure. Rental equipment and lift ticket are not included in the price of the Ski & Snowboard School product unless otherwise noted. There are elements of risk that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Regardless of how you decide to use the slopes, always show courtesy to others. Please adhere to the code listed below and share with others the responsibility for a safe outdoor experience. 1. Always remain in control. You must be able to stop or avoid other people or objects. 2. People ahead of you have the right-of-way. It is your responsibility to avoid them. 3. Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above. 4. Before starting downhill or merging onto a trail, look uphill and yield to others. 5. If you are involved in or witness a collision or accident, you must remain at the scene and identify yourself to the Ski Patrol. 6. Always use proper devices to help prevent runaway equipment. 7. Observe and obey all posted signs and warnings. 8. Keep off closed trails and closed areas. 9. You must not use lifts or terrain if your ability is impaired through use of alcohol or drugs. 10. You must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to safely load, ride and unload lifts. If in doubt, ask the lift attendant. 11. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children’s activities on resort property. 12. Avoid going through ski and snowboard classes. The same goes for racecourses, unless you are a participant.

As a condition of use of the resort facilities, the Ticket Holder assumes all risk of personal injury, death or property loss resulting from any cause whatsoever including but not limited to the risks, dangers and hazards of skiing, snowboarding, and all other recreational activities; the use of lifts; collision with natural or man-made objects or with skiers, snowboarders or other persons; changes or variations in the terrain, surface or sub-surface, including changes due to man-made snow; variable and difficult snow conditions; travel within or beyond the authorized trail boundaries; or negligence, breach of contract, or breach of statutory duty of care on the part of Blue Mountain Resorts Limited and Intrawest ULC and their respective directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, independent contractors, subcontractors, representatives, sponsors, successors and assigns (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Resort Operator”). The Ticket Holder agrees that the Resort Operator shall not be liable for any such personal injury, death or property loss and releases the Resort Operator and waives all claims with respect thereto. The Ticket Holder agrees that any litigation involving the Resort Operator will be brought within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Ontario and any rights, duties and obligations as between the parties will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Ontario.

Thrill-seekers will love our Timber Challenge High Ropes and Woodlot Low Ropes courses. Push your limits for adventure as each course’s challenging elements progress to more daring levels. Our popular mountain biking options include 15 downhill trails and 6 cross-country trails. Perfect for families, friends or groups, our Mountaintop Segway Tours are a great way to explore Blue Mountain. A trained tour guide will lead you along the peak of the mountain as you operate your own Segway device. The whole family will enjoy the Cascade Putting Course. Influenced by the beautiful surroundings of the Niagara Escarpment, the 18-hole, par 67 putting course winds along the base of the Smart Alec ski run and overlooks the Village. The Cascade Putting Course features cascading landscapes that flow through a natural limestone background. A round or two will provide lasting memories for guests of all ages. We can’t forget our Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster. Take an exhilarating ride down the mountain, twisting and turning through the trees at your own speed while taking in the stunning views of Georgian Bay and the Blue Mountain Village.
