Spain Spain is a huge and historic country. Rich in culture and famous for its nightlife and sunshine, it ticks all the boxes for a great golf holiday. However, we’ve gone further to make sure you see the ‘real’ Spain…Our blend of famous hotels and courses, plus the ones off the beaten track, is the one you’ve been looking for and the ones you’ll recommend to your friends. Getting to Spain is easy – there are flights from the UK to airports near all our destinations and the roads are good. The weather is famous for a good reason – 295 days of reliable sunshine and even the lowest temperatures are like a perfect Spring day back in ‘ole Blighty! We concentrate our programme around the Costa del Sol, Western Andalucia and Catalunya, regions full of great sights and beautiful golf courses. Girona is an ancient and hilltop walled city in Catalunya. It was an Arab town for over two hundred years, hence the maze of narrow streets. Girona is now very cosmopolitan but the
proud locals prefer that you make an effort at Spanish…After that, it’s a very warm welcome and a wonderful city to explore during the day and night. Nearby Barcelona is a medieval city and a fantastic party town with a myriad of restaurants and bars. It’s perfect for a day’s touring, even an add-on after your golf holiday. Marbella is a luxurious resort town but it is best appreciated by exploring back streets in the old part of town…Such as “La Plaza de los Naranjos” with its stately buildings, artisans, art galleries, bars and bistros. The narrow streets are home to both houses and shops and there are numerous excellent restaurants to choose from – including a couple where the Serrano ham is gently cured by tobacco smoke and the tapas are both tasty and filling. The Marbella coastline stretches along some 15 miles of Mediterranean beaches and there are plenty of spots to enjoy sardines on a spit and paella. Puerto Banus provides a livelier side where the yachts, exotic cars and bars might help you to forget the three-putt on the 18th.

Jerez is a beautiful city which typifies all that is characteristic of Andalucia. It is rich in history, with many churches, basilicas, museums and palaces. Nowadays it is perhaps better known for its famous sherry wines, flamenco and The Royal Andalucian School of Equestrian Art. The nearby town of Arcos de la Frontera is perched atop a rocky limestone ridge with pretty whitewashed houses, narrow cobbled streets and lovely tapas bars. El Puerto de Santa Maria is a picturesque and lively Spanish town on the Costa de la Luz. With miles of golden sands, markets and a bustling town centre, it’s the ideal place to discover the Spanish way. Here’s an idea! Play some of Europe’s greatest courses such as Finca Cortesin, San Roque and Alcaidesa and then stay in one of our Concierge Collection’s Hospes hotels. These historical hotels have been carefully restored and converted into an intimate and cosy establishment, offering the best town location in Seville, Cordoba and Granada. A great idea for sunshine golf and cultural visits.
