This boutique hotel is well-known for the personal service afforded to guests and its setting right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges.

European Top 100 course 36 holes

This is undoubtedly one of the best links courses in Europe, and was designed by the great Harry Colt.

Built over a hundred years ago, the course at first does not look too tough but, when the wind picks up, hitting the fairways is paramount and negotiating the fast greens is another story.

The course meanders through dunes and silver birches and has earned tributes from the likes of Palmer and Faldo. 13 miles north of Bruges.

The longer and more demanding Chateau course is laid out over wooded hills and fields and the La Foret course has narrow fairways and physically demanding terrain. The clubhouse provides comforts appreciated by all. Four miles north-west of Waterloo.

Set in a superb rural landscape with a host of bunkers and lakes.

With aesthetic and daunting obstacles, the Tournette club offers two formidable courses: The American and The English.

The latter resembles an inland links with big, elevated greens well-protected by pot bunkers, while the American course begins in woodland before testing your ability with its own 'Amen Corner' on the back nine. 12 miles south-west of Waterloo.
