Sarah says............... “We just wanted to thank your staff so much for going out of their way to accommodate our children and staff on a Windsor boat ride on Saturday. We decided to spend the day in Windsor but it isn’t always easy to find appropriate activities for the children. As soon as I approached your staff, they were eager to make every effort to accommodate our children. Thanks to their kindness and dedication the whole experience was very pleasurable. We all felt comfortable, safe and very relaxed. Would you please pass on our sincere thanks to those staff who were so kind”. Sarah Tosdevin, Grangewood School

The cruise starts from Runnymede bound for Hampton Court for a round trip that lasts the full day. As such most groups choose one of the many boarding points along the way to start their journey, which allows plenty of time to visit Cardinal Wolsey’s majestic palace.

Runnymede to Hampton Court & return Departing at 09.15 from Runnymede, home to King John’s Magna Carta, the boat passes through the town of Staines - the ancient start of the tidal Thames before the locks were built. Chertsey is the next (and most popular stop) on this trip, passing through Coway Sale where Julius Caesar forded the river and on to Shepperton. The boat then passes through Sunbury Lock which has a unique second barge lock adjacent to it still in operation. On approaching Hampton Court, you will pass some lovely house boats, some formerly owned by stars such as Diana Dors. You are then afforded superb views of Hampton Court Palace. This cruise is perfect for any group wishing to visit the palace and perhaps puzzle out the famous maze. The boat passes through the famous Boulters Lock, cruising the beautiful Cliveden reach, the setting of the Profumo affair. Passing under the shadow of the imposing Winter Hill - the gateway to the Chilterns. Beyond Marlow, the boat passes Medmenham Abbey, home of the infamous Hellfire Club. For many years, groups have chosen to combine a river trip with French Brothers and a visit to the nearby local attractions such as Savill Garden & Bekonscot Model Village.

Partnerships have now been formed to offer exceptional value for the Group Organiser, by providing a one stop shop - also making life easier as well as providing a perfect solution to a complete day out.

Royal Garden & River Cruise Both are half day attractions that complement each other, and are located a mere 2 ½ miles apart. With this tried and tested formula, we have created a new package combining both visits for a full days experience. Benefiting from superb value, the group organiser is now able to book a combined visit with a single telephone call. Whether you choose to have lunch on the boat or at the Garden there is a choice of 2 packages to provide a full day out with all meals included.

at Bekonscot

With free coach parking at both sites and all meals included, this really is an unbeatable “one stop shop” for the group organiser. Option 1 - A morning visit to The Savill Garden with lunch, followed by a 2 hour afternoon river trip from the Runnymede Boathouse with a cream tea.

Bekonscot Model Village Start your day with a relaxing 2 ½ hour cruise from Windsor during which you will be served a delicious ploughmans lunch. Rejoin your coach and head off to spend the afternoon at the worlds oldest model village. Become a giant in a miniature world and wonder at the buildings portraying rural England as it was in the 1930s. Two of French Brothers steam boats are also reproduced, adding yet more authenticity to the bygone era.
