It's more than a festival... IT'S
AN EXPERIENCE THAT FEEDS THE SOUL.
Over the past 18 years, euphoria has grown from a passion project into one of the Southeast’s signature food, wine, and music events. We have so much to look forward to as we embark on our 19th year of the festival…
One of the hallmarks of euphoria has always been its unique chef collaborations, and this year is no exception. We are bringing together incredible chefs from around the country to create dishes that push the boundaries of taste and creativity, with diversity in cuisine taking center stage. These chefs bring a wide range of culinary expertise that celebrates the richness of cultures through food.
While the art of storytelling through food isn't a new concept, it is certainly one worth celebrating. We are honored to have 2 South Carolina-based James Beard semifinalists teaming up to create a Filipino and Mexican fusion dinner, two longtime friends reuniting for an Italian-inspired wine dinner, and a celebrity chef cooking alongside his son and a two-Michelin-starred chef. It's not just about the unique collaborations but the passion and dedication that goes into each dish. This is true for every single bite you'll taste during the festival weekend. We are proud to showcase these chefs and celebrate the unique cuisine each one brings to the table.
It wouldn’t be euphoria without intimate opportunities to learn and engage with chefs, musicians, and beverage professionals. This year, classroom and lunch & learn guests will learn about everything from oyster shucking and baguette making to a modern twist on classic cocktails and the dynamics of heritage-driven New Chinese American cuisine.
I am particularly excited about Aged to Perfection this year - eclectic, global bites paired with 80s-inspired music in a brand new venue. This will be the perfect way to kick off #19. I’m also looking forward to highlighting the South Carolina Chef Ambassadors, as we celebrate 10 years of this fabulous program. One of my favorite things about South Carolina is the long list of local ingredients we have access to and the enthusiasm for supporting local farmers. SC Chef Ambassadors embody this in every dish they prepare, and they’ll be showcasing their talents at Feast by the Field and Sunday Supper this year. Several former Ambassadors are also returning to the festival for guest chef dinners that will remind us just how fortunate we are to live in an area with an abundance of fresh, local produce.
While we love to shine a spotlight on our thriving culinary arts scene, we are also passionate about making a positive impact on our community. This year, euphoria donated more than $100,000 in grants to fund projects for other nonprofits, the largest single-year donation in festival history. We are honored to support eight amazing organizations this year, including several that assist hospitality workers. Through our partnerships, we aim to provide meaningful assistance to those who make dining and hospitality experiences exceptional for all of us and recognize their vital role in our communities.
Raise a glass as we celebrate 19 years of euphoria with culinary innovation, diverse flavors, and community spirit. It’s more than a festival… it’s an experience that feeds the soul!
Each year, euphoria shines a spotlight on this gem of a city we are proud to call home. As much as we love bringing newcomers here to get a taste of Greenville’s magic, we’re also committed to making a strong economic impact and giving back to the community in which our festival was built.
THE HISTORY of euphoria
euphoria was founded in 2006 by platinum-selling singer/songwriter Edwin McCain and prominent Greenville restaurateur, Table 301’s Carl Sobocinski. Even before Greenville’s famed revitalization, the pair knew that our quaint city was something to be celebrated. McCain and Sobocinski wanted others to see this potential too—and out of this desire, euphoria was born.
What started as a passion project has grown into a highly-anticipated food, wine, and music festival that shines a spotlight on Greenville’s thriving culinary arts scene, while raising money to pour back into the community. From tasting events, guest chef dinners, and educational seminars held throughout the year to our banner, four-day festival in September featuring Michelin-starred chefs, exclusive food & wine tastings, cooking demos, and intimate, musical experiences—euphoria has become an integral part of Greenville’s tourism and hospitality industries, allowing locals and visitors alike to gather, celebrate, and enjoy the best of what the city has to offer.
euphoria’s mission has four main objectives :
• To promote tourism in Greenville, SC
• To create a destination event for food, wine, and music lovers across the country
• To highlight the culinary and music arts community of Upstate South Carolina
• To raise money to give back to the community
euphoria is also devoted to supporting the food & beverage industry with mental health support and emergency assistance when facing unanticipated crises.

There’s a little something for everyone at euphoria, for what your palate or your soul craves.
I bought a pair of boots during a past euphoria that are as much a touchstone keepsake as useful for a gal who forgot to pack shoes for a four-day festival. Since then, those boots have traveled with me to the mountains, the desert, to James Beard Award celebrations and across the sea to Michelin starred restaurants in Denmark and Paris. But when I look down at the weathered leather, I think of Greenville.
I wore them that night to Party in the Park, where I tasted my way through the offerings of culinary artists from the south— some favorites and new discoveries I noted as places to visit. I danced the night away with friends old and new to the live band’s performance. I strolled back to my hotel in those boots with takeaway charms, but mostly a smile on my face anticipating the gatherings of the coming day.
It was during a media breakfast the next day that I learned about the positive impact the festival makes upon Greenville and beyond, funding projects for local non-profits helping children, eliminating hunger, making projects in music and arts education possible and helping food service workers in times of crisis through organizations such as Giving Kitchen. Not only did Edwin McCain and Carl Sobocinski revitalize downtown with euphoria, but they also coalesced around a vision of doing good. Each year, I feel the intentionality of this concept more.
There’s a little something for everyone at euphoria, for what your palate or your soul craves. I’ve had some of the best boiled peanuts in my life on Fluor Field and delighted my tastebuds learning from a Petrossian caviar expert on different types and how to open the containers with a take-home opener. (These seminar creators are thoughtful.) I’ve sipped my way through different wine regions with sommeliers and learned about different expressions of Champagne in wine classes that are a fit for novice and connoisseur alike.
At Feast by the Field, those boots got a shine from a little bit of bbq sauce, the sea water from a freshly shucked oyster, Duke’s mayo dripping from Chris Coleman’s heirloom tomato sandwich, and a cocktail or two. As I reminisce, I remember first meeting so many recruited chefs that have gone on to be James Beard nominees, a nod to the talent pool at euphoria.
I didn’t wear the boots to the Seeing Stars Michelin chef dinner (because fancy), but I made such good friends at my table that they wouldn’t have cared. I was in awe of the sheer talent in the room as the gastronomic aromas hit. Eating at Michelin starred restaurants is a special treat, let alone a dinner with multiple chefs who have earned the coveted stars. Thank Greenville’s Michelin connection for this.
I’m already daydreaming of those perfect September evenings in Greenville, reconnecting with friends made over the years and the taste discovery that is euphoria. And putting more miles on those boots.

Welcome to Greenville, SC, where waterfalls grace our city center and mountain views fill the horizon. Family-friendly activities and an international food scene await your discovery. It’s time to find your not-so-ordinary vacation. This Is The Life. This Is Greenville.
Locally grown, seasonal ingredients are the foundation of South Carolina’s vibrant food scene, which has made the state a top foodie destination.
Each year, the South Carolina Chef Ambassador program selects a distinguished group of chefs who embody the rich culinary heritage of the Palmetto State. Now in its tenth year, this prestigious initiative highlights chefs who not only excel in their culinary skills but also champion the farmto-table movement, showcasing the bounty of local farms through seasonally inspired menus.
Don’t miss your chance to see this year’s Chef Ambassadors at Feast by the Field on Saturday and Sunday, where they’ll demonstrate their skills and show off local cuisine. Scan the QR code to learn more or visit DiscoverSouthCarolina.com/chef-ambassadors

euphoria IS A FEELING
Kim Eades
euphoria2024 Board Chairman
It happens when we come together to share the abundance between us and build our community.
As we celebrate the 19th year of euphoria, I can’t help but reflect on the very beginning when it was Southern Exposure and I was a volunteer. I was like a little girl in a candy store, so excited to be surrounded by celebrity chefs & musicians. I ‘worked’ the next few years of the event as a food writer for the Greenville News. Then my sister & I did the VIP experience and I was hooked! Now, as Chairman of the Board, I could not be more proud of what it has become! Every year gets better and better. Seeing the excitement in the eyes of first-timers never gets old!
Heath Dillard
CEO, VisitGreenvilleSC
Every year, euphoria brings an unmatched energy to Greenville, combining our love for great food with a deep sense of community. Last year, 29 states were represented and almost 10,000 tickets were sold across all 78 events. euphoria has been instrumental in amplifying Greenville's culinary reputation and attracting new visitors to our community. euphoria has given many their first taste of our community’s exceptional cuisine, fueling Greenville's growth and solidifying its status as the perfect destination for food lovers.

I believe euphoria is a very special event. The fact that the small town of Greenville, SC can bring us all together (chefs and teams from restaurants all over the country) and provide such memorable experiences is amazing. Over the years we have met so many new friends and had the opportunity to work with some amazing teams. We look forward to coming back each year to work with the amazing teams in Greenville as well as say hello to everyone we've missed. I'll never forget cooking with Daniel Boulud and the energy and excitement he brought to the table.

I'm excited to participate in euphoria for the first time this year. Cooking with my Dad and chef Ryan Ratino is always fun, and participating in The Stars Align with both of them will be very special. I can’t wait to bring a taste of Emeril's and New Orleans to Greenville this September.
Tay Nelson

Being a Greenville native, euphoria has always been special to me. euphoria showcases the growth of the city, brings people together, and provides an outlet for local talent to shine in the culinary world. I look forward to being a part of euphoria every year, from being a member of the culinary council, to the challenge of coming up with new dishes to cook & smoke, and last but not least, learning and sharing ideas with my peers and mentors!
