A VIRTUAL ATTACHÉ: FOTT2014 SHOPPIN TRANSPORTATION DURING THE CRAWL Eastside Transportation, our Transportation Sponsor, will provide town cars that will make small-loop circuits (linking from location-to-location) during the hours of the Crawl. In addition, this year we will have maps of all the circuits, clearly marking the Crawl locations within each region, inside of all of the town cars. We will also provide each retailer with copies of the transportation map so they can distribute them to shoppers during the hours of the Crawl. Each circuit/region will have its own “emergency” contact name/phone number to call during the Crawl should any of the retailers, or shoppers, need assistance.

STORE FRONT WINDOW CONTEST NEW & IMPROVED! (See pg. 7 for complete rules) Sponsored by Virginia Hayes, REALTOR® | Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices C. Dan Joyner REALTORS®. We are going to conduct a competition for the best FOTT themed store windows. You’ll be pleased to know that we’ve tweaked the criteria so that a participant’s success is not solely based on their number of Facebook votes. This year we’ve also solicited a third party, Flourish, to manage the entire process. They will be communicating the ins and outs of the contest in the coming days. They are going to make the contest easier, more fair and of course more fun for the participants. The Crawl Participants that elect to participate must design FOTT branded windows creatively utilizing the supplies provided. The window must be on display from September 18- October 4. We encourage participants to cross promote and utilize their own social media audience to increase their chances of winning. Virginia Hayes will announce the winner at the VIP party. The winner will be fully reimbursed for their FOTT sponsorship fee. Please stay tuned for more specific details!

PASSPORT PROCESS: HOW IT WORKS Fashion on the TOWN is a free event, open to the public. The public will use the Passport to Fashion to help navigate them though the crawl. These passports also serve as a coupon book (featuring exclusive Fashion on the TOWN sales and discounts) to help drive the public into participating stores. Passports will be available to the shoppers on Monday, September 29th and they can pick them up from any retail crawl location. As guests enter your store, with their passports in hand, you can help qualify them for a chance to win the prizes by placing a sticker on your designated square location in the back of the passport. The more stores the shoppers visit, the more times they are entered to win. Please let your shoppers know that they can drop off their stamped pages from the passport at your store or any other retail crawl location. The drawing will take place LIVE, over Facebook, on Thursday October 23rd. The Prizes are $100 Gift Certificates from all the participating crawl locations and a TOWN donated NYC getaway (2 round trip plane tickets, 2 nights in a luxury hotel, plus $500 spending money).

NG CRAWL PARTICIPANT SECOND ANNUAL STOREFRONT WINDOW CONTEST: Building off feedback from last year’s contest, the second annual Storefront Window Contest, sponsored by Virginia Hayes, REALTOR® | Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices C. Dan Joyner REALTORS®, is new and improved! This year, we will incorporate a three-part scoring process, including the opportunity to increase your score through bonus points. Finally, we will have all participants shoot and pick their own photos to submit for this year’s contest, which will allow you—the display designer—to highlight your window in the best light possible.

CONTEST RULES • Participants should have their window displays created and installed no later than Thursday, September 18. All window displays must remain up until Saturday, October 4. • Each participant will receive three (3) 24-inch circle window decals (one red, one black and one white), which must be incorporated into the window display. • Each participant will be responsible for submitting five (5) quality photos that show off the window display. These photos will be displayed as an online gallery and used for the public’s voting. All aspects, elements, etc. (including the window decals) of the storefront window that you want scored or judged MUST appear in one or more of these photos. FOTT will not send a professional photographer to shoot your storefront this year, so it is each participant’s responsibility to arrange for photos to be taken and submitted to FOTT in the proper format. • The display must incorporate elements (clothing, merchandise, etc.) from your store. • The storefront window display may have any theme or creative pieces; however, it is to your benefit to take advantage of the bonus point elements to increase your odds of winning.

CONTEST SCORING • Scoring this year will consist of three parts. Your score from each part will be added together to arrive at a final, total score. The storefront display with the highest final, total score will be declared the winner and receive a full reimbursement of their sponsorship fee. PART ONE - Social Media voting Each vendor will need to select at least one* of their entry photos to be featured on FOTT’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The public will then cast their “vote” by liking or retweeting the window display of their choice on FOTT’s accounts only. You, as retailers, are encouraged to share your pictures through your own channels to drive traffic back to FOTT’s accounts; however, only likes and retweets on FOTT’s accounts count for voting purposes. *You may select up to three photos to form a collage. Keep in mind that your photos will be resized to fit into one collage image. Scoring: The 10 displays with the most likes will receive points. First place will receive 20 points, second place will receive 19 points, and so on down to tenth place receiving 10 points. PART TWO - Website voting We will have a special webpage featuring mini-galleries of all contest participants. All five of your submitted photos will appear in your mini-gallery. Voters may visit the site, view the mini-galleries, and cast their vote on the website. The contest voting page will be towncarolina.com/FOTT/windowcontest. Each user may cast one vote per day. Scoring: The 10 displays with the most likes will receive points. First place will receive 20 points, second place will receive 19 points, and so on down to tenth place receiving 10 points.

A VIRTUAL ATTACHÉ: FOTT2014 SHOPPIN PART THREE – Panel Judging A panel of five judges will review each window display set and award points for the following four criteria: creativity, execution, representation of store merchandise, and use of FOTT elements. Scoring: Judges will each give a score, from 1 to 5 (5 being the best), in all four categories. Then, each judges’ score sheet will be averaged for a total of up to 20 points. BONUS POINTS By incorporating the following elements, you will receive the following bonus points added on to your total score. • Using the colors red and black in your window display. Your decals DO NOT count towards this use. (5 points) • Utilizing the Fashion Crawl theme: “Your mission should you choose to accept it” (5 points) • Incorporating the Fashion Crawl hashtag: #FOTT2014 (5 points)

THE CONTEST WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 6TH VIA THE FASHION ON THE TOWN SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS.

NG CRAWL PARTICIPANT SHOWCASE YOUR STYLE: FASHION ON THE TOWN VIP PARTY Dear FOTT Sponsors, For the VIP Party, we would like to offer you not one but TWO opportunities to showcase your STYLE! If you would like, you may choose to style/dress either a mannequin, a real live model or both. Details are below. FOR MANNEQUIN: Standard (approximately size 4), full body mannequins will be delivered to the VIP venue (Garden Terrace at 55 East Camperdown) by noon on the September 23rd. You may bring your wardrobe for mannequin any time between 12-5 pm. All mannequins must be dressed and in position by 5:00 pm. If you need help with this, please let us know ahead of time. Some of you may prefer to use your own mannequin, but we will need to measure and make sure it fits with the standard size for uniformity of the overall look at the party. At the close of the party (10:00 pm), all mannequins need to be cleared of all wardrobe as they will be taken away that night. In the event that you supply your own, you will need to take both the wardrobe and the mannequin with you when you leave. FOR LIVE MODEL: We have invited some Millie Lewis Models to participate in the party. If you would like to style one of them, then we will assign one to you for pre-fitting and dressing. We will have the models “displayed” on stage for the first hour then they will mingle, more like guests, at the party. So you’ll want to really bring it in terms of fashion! We think these are both great options to make sure you have ample opportunity to represent your unique brand. To make model or mannequin arrangements, please reserve through Laura Linenllinen@communityjournals.com or 773-230-2314.
