Cultural Arts Foundation Fountain Inn Creates Partnerships

The Fountain Inn Center for Visual & Performing Arts has added new partnerships thanks to CAFFI (Cultural Arts Foundation Fountain Inn).

The non-profit organization is working on raising capital, endowment, grants, and operational revenue to ensure the long-term viability of the Center. Under the direction of board President and local attorney Melvin Younts, members include: Park Sterling Bank Investment Banker Tripp Tuttle; Entrepreneur Developer John Hopkins; and Hillcrest Memorial Hospital CEO Dr. Eric Bour. Their leadership continues to create new partnership opportunities for the Center.

CAFFI’S work has included partnering with The Grainger Foundation, with assistance from Grainger Manager Ryan Tiller, who stepped forward to upfit the Corporate Membership Room that will bear their name. This renovation will allow corporate meetings, sponsor receptions and more to be held in a state-of-the-art room at the historical facility. Greenville Hospital System, University Medical Center, and Hillcrest Memorial Hospital increased their partnership to support major programming at the Center including the recent successful performance of “Bye Bye Birdie.” BB&T Foundation also hosted its first membership reception in the Golden Strip as part of their contribution to the Center and Caterpillar continues to not only support the Center, but utilizes its facility to hold quarterly meetings with employees and most recently with national suppliers.

The Center staff working with CAFFI continues to seek grants and other sources of funding with the hope that these monies will help fund programming, the endowment, and scholarships for children who cannot afford arts education.

Hosting three annual events, CAFFI is building an endowment fund that will provide operational support and capital expansion. Due to the success of all the programming and the enthusiasm of its board members, CAFFI believes that the Fountain Inn Center for Visual & Performing Arts will be here for generations to come. The Fountain Inn Arts Academy, having joined forces in January 2011 with The Art Haven, offers plenty of opportunities for students of all ages in the summer.

With camps & classes there is something for everybody.
