PROGRESSIVE® INTERNATIONAL MOTORCYCLE SHOWS® TO KICK-OFF TOURWIDE ULTIMATE BUILDER CUSTOM BIKE COMPETITION More Than 500 Custom Bikes to Compete for $90,000 Prize Purse and Prestigious Title The Progressive International Motorcycle Shows will launch the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Competition, a new elite-level custom motorcycle builder competition, in Dallas at the first stop of the nationwide tour. Contestants are encouraged to enter any of the 12 shows for a chance to win part of the more than $90,000 cash purse. Three cash prize winners will be chosen at each show with a special American Championship finale set to take place at the Daytona Progressive International Motorcycle Show during Daytona Bike Week, March 9-12. With more than 500 custom-built bikes on display across the country, the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show sets itself apart as the largest touring custom bike competition in North America. “Our partnership with Biker Pros Media and affiliation with the AMD World Championship, coupled with the builtin visibility from more than 600,000
motorcycle enthusiasts who attend our motorcycle shows, has positioned this contest to be a must-enter for custom bike builders,” said Progressive International Motorcycle Shows VP and General Manager Tracy Harris. “No other competition will offer this much exposure to custom bike builders or the chance to become the definitive American Champion of custom bike building.” The Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show will have a three class format with motorcycles categorized as freestyle, modified Harley or performance custom. Judging will be conducted by the competitors themselves, with the top five builders in each class receiving awards, as well as a special “people’s choice” award will be given to the builder who receives the most votes from show attendees. An awards ceremony will take place at each show where winners will receive cash prizes and trophies followed by a
short interview so attendees can learn the story behind the master builds. Space at each Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show competition is limited. Interested custom builders should log on to www. motorcycleshows.com/customs or call Biker Pros at 919-886-5075 for more details. “With the AMD World Championship as a benchmark, the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows and Biker Pros have our sights set on creating nothing but the best for both the custom bike builder and show attendee,” said Bike Pros Media Partner Bob Kay, the agency managing the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show competition. “This will be the largest, most professional and prestigious series of custom bike shows in the country and this collection of priceless motorcycles will create an awe-inspiring display not to be missed on this year’s show circuit.”
