Premier Community Gives Back in Celebration of its 10 th Anniversary
Offering a Unique Kind of Care to Seniors and their Families
In commemoration of its 10th anniversary, The Palmettos will celebrate throughout 2020 with special events and activities. In a somewhat untraditional approach, The Palmettos will also launch a community-focused anniversary initiative. “Our residents are still living life to the fullest and contributing significantly to the Greenville area,” explained Davis. “Recognizing that and our special anniversary year, we are initiating a ‘10/10 in 2020’ program through which our Palmettos family will complete 10 service projects in honor of our 10 years of service to the community during 2020.”
Over the past decade this unwavering focus on its residents is what differentiates The Palmettos from other providers. Buffington wholeheartedly concurs, saying, “What makes The Palmettos so special is the commitment of the entire staff to the care of the residents and their families.”
Ten local nonprofits have been selected as beneficiaries of the anniversary initiative. The Palmettos residents and staff will carry out a service project for one community partner each month beginning in March, the actual month the facility opened, and culminating at the end of 2020. “As we celebrate a decade of service it only seemed fitting to honor this important highpoint in our history by giving back to the community and doing so in a manner that brings joy to our residents,” said Davis.
