Big News About the Rolling Green Village Expansion A LIVING MISSION

The options you need for the life you lead. 1 Hoke Smith Blvd. Greenville, SC 29615 864.990.0826 RollingGreenVillage.com

To know where Rolling Green Village is going, it’s important to understand where they come from. Established as a faithbased not-for-profit Life Plan Community, Rolling Green Village was created to serve independent, active seniors who value the freedom to life as they please. Built on 175 acres of pristine farmland donated by Hoke and Mildred Smith, the living mission of Rolling Green Village has always been to partner with the Greenville community and the growing Upstate area in a way that enriches seniors’ lives. With its rolling hills, ponds, green space and town-like feel, the character of this community is both intimate and loving. Created with a vision and a gift, this community now serves 650 seniors

living independently in patio homes and apartments, and if the need arises, shortterm rehab, assisted lived, memory care and long-term skilled nursing.

PUTTING A PLAN IN PLACE The Rolling Green Village board of trustees—comprised of local businessmen and women who volunteer their time and expertise—conducted a market study and created a master plan for the community. They determined that to maintain and grow their mission, they needed to craft new living spaces in the form of apartments, duplexes and cottages. There was also a need for additional gathering spaces such as a library, activity room, art studio, multiple dining rooms, walking trails and outdoor living spaces—all designed

to meet the growing needs of current and future residents. “What we’ve planned will blend beautifully with what we already have and will match some of the development happening in downtown Greenville,” said Board of Trustees Chair Becky Faulkner. Executive Director Bob Benson is excited about the coming changes and the way they’ll continue to enhance the community he serves. He said, “By deepening and broadening our community simultaneously, we’re able to play to the strengths of Rolling Green Village more fully while creating an even more connected community.”

EXPANSION FOR BETTER LIVING The multimillion-dollar expansion of Rolling Green Village includes 60 new 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments with new and different floor plans. The 23 cottages include walkout and daylight basements and are available as either duplexes or detached homes. 2

However, they stay because Rolling Green Village offers so much more than other similar places. The sense of community permeates every aspect of
