While Roper Mountain Holiday Lights is a magical, family-oriented experience enjoyed by thousands of visitors, it also raises funds for education and charities. The event is put on by a not-for-profit organization that is co-managed by the Rotary Club of Greenville and the Roper Mountain Science Center Association. In its first 22 years, Holiday Lights has raised over $2,066,000 for the benefit of charities and educational programs in the Upstate. This has been made possible thanks to our volunteers who spend literally thousands of hours throughout the year--every year-to make Holiday Lights a reality, to our wonderful sponsors who support our efforts, and to the thousands of visitors Volunteers setting up a light display that come through Holiday Lights each year. A Very Special Thanks to you all for making Roper Mountain Holiday Lights an extraordinary event!

A Holiday Note... We invite one and all to the 23rd edition of Roper Mountain Holiday Lights. This year you’ll find that Santa’s Workshop has been updated to give it a new look and feel for your favorite Santa. On the grounds, we’ve added some new lighted arches and 12’ Christmas trees with more twinkling lights to make your walk through Winter Wonderland and drive through the lights even more magical! The outdoor amphitheatre stage in Winter Wonderland will again be used for musical performances by students from Greenville County. Opposite the stage, please take time to view the giant Holiday Cards created by local school art classes as they help us decorate Holiday Lights. And while you are in Winter Wonderland, we hope that you will also enjoy the concessions, our small gift shop, the Balloon Elf, and, of course, Santa!

On behalf of everyone involved with Holiday Lights, I hope you enjoy the sparkle of the lights, the fun and joys of Winter Wonderland, the twinkle in Santa’s eye, and the sights and sounds that are part of this event. Thank you for making Holiday Lights part of your holiday celebrations!

Happy holidays to all!
