Thank you As the publisher and editor of CKW it is my pleasure to humbly thank those who helped make our cover photoshoot a reality. The All Phases Salon Naturals Glam Team worked tirelessly and gave 110% during the whole shoot. They made sure that I not only looked great, but was at ease during the day. The ladies each brought their own professional level of expertise, and skills, to the shoot that day and they were on point! I was blessed to have a jewelry maverick by the name of Myisha Reaves styling my jewel pieces. She is the owner and operator of Asha’s Glam, and her pieces are not only affordable but very stylish! She made sure that every jeweled detail was taken care of. The master of the lens was none other than famed photographer Joe Goodwin of Joe Goodwin Photography based in Louisville, Ky. Joe is a photographer with world renowned credentials, and an eye for capturing the perfect image. He not only made me look great, but he also worked to make sure I understood what angles worked best for me, and that I was at ease in front of the camera. It was truly a pleasure to work with All Phase Salon Naturals Glam Team, Asha’s Glam and Joe Goodwin, each of them helped make the premier issue of the CKW Magazine launch happen, and we are forever grateful for their professionalism and support. “How to convert an existing suit into a POWER suit and close more deals?” A style guide written by Michael D. Snell I received a call from my fraternity brother, Louis, the other day to assist him with his attire for an upcoming million-dollar deal, utilizing his current wardrobe. Here is the advice and a few does and don’ts about professional attire I provided to him. In the world of men’s fashion, there are certain suits recognized for their ability to quietly exude power. There are suits that your high-powered businessmen choose to wear, cementing their place in the business world without them even having to say a word. Wearing a power suit can help you establish yourself as an up-and-coming professional in today’s workplace. Mid-level managers to executives tend to judge employees for promotions not only by the quality of their work, but also if they display a professional image, which brands the organization. A power suit can make a significant difference in how people perceive you, as a hard worker or as an up and coming rising star. In the boardroom there is a line that separates the men from the boys. It’s not the items in which you wear, but the color selections and coordination may infringe on your promotion. Succeeding in Corporate America involves very few components: Education, Experience, and Appearance. A selection of power colors is what will get you the job and what affects your performance. Colors exude confidence, security and authoritative behavior. By wearing particular colors, you silently represent your ability to navigate among professional and social circles. So, what are power colors? Power colors range from dark tones of black, blue, grey, and brown. Power Suit: The best power colors are navy blue and dark grey. The darker colored suits, typically, exude a higher level of management and responsibility and/or authority. When in doubt go for navy blue, it’s the universal power color for a suit. Navy suits pair well with every color combination in your closet – good or bad. You should wear black with caution. Although it may seem to be the likeliest choice and most common color, it can appear threatening and a bit snobbish. Brown is a ‘new school’ power color. It is considered a non-threatening shade. While looking through Louis’ closet, I saw many attractive suits available. Unfortunately, not all could be considered a power suit. I selected a solid dark grey, two button suit for this special occasion. Aside from its appearance, a power suit should make you feel confident, successful, and in control. As a result, having an impeccable tailor is an absolute must. A perfect suit fit helps project confidence and exhibits that you care about your image. For all professional meetings, job interviews, and or social engagements, your efforts spent towards your appearance will definitely impress are likely indicative of how you approach all aspects of your life. CheaKWoolfolk.com13

The Power Accessories: No need to get fancy and search for something ‘new.’ You can wear simple lace-ups like cap toes or wing tips. For the newbies, beware of clunky soles. Best to invest in hand made shoes – it’s so worth it! You should also look at adding these few items to help with your power suit: a classy watch, tie, and attaché case.

The Power Shirt: Dress shirts are so much more than a ‘shirt’ you throw on. There are shirt rules. White shirts are the most formal of dress shirts (for financial services). The best shirt colors are French Blue (or baby blue), blue and white stripes (in any direction), powder pink, and pale yellow. A little tip: If you have a lighter complexion, wear an oxford blue shirt ONLY if you do not intend to remove your suit jacket. The shirt without a darker jacket can be too pale for such lighter skin complexions. If you’re unsure about collar options, a classic spread will work perfectly.

The Power Accessories: No need to get fancy and search for something ‘new.’ You can wear simple lace-ups like cap toes or wing tips. For the newbies, beware of clunky soles. CheaKWoolfolk.com14

Try carrying a black or brown leather attaché case to match your shoes. Nothing destroys the effect of a power suit faster than hauling a bulky briefcase, messenger bag, or backpack around with you. Although a slimmer sleeker attaché case will limit what you can carry. It forces you to only carry what you need and it exudes power over the above mentioned bags.

"A little tip: Your tie should contrast with the suit and the shirt." -Michael Snell

CKW

The Power Tie: Choosing ties carefully is an art. It’s almost as important as selecting your suit. Your tie is the first place someone’s eyes will go. Red ties will be your friend – Opt for stripes, small repetitive patterns, dots, and Ivy League patterns. As fashion leans toward the motto ‘anything goes,’ we assure you wearing large patterns like floral prints, geometric patterns, and paisleys are not the way to go. Power colors for ties should be great shades of yellow, blue, and anything in the red family, to include dark red, true red, cherry red, magenta and raspberry. Warm colored ties are classy and powerful.

CheaKWoolfolk.com15

Dressing for Success: Once I completed assembling the above mentioned items for Louis, with adjustments made to fit him as perfect as possible, I presented him with the most challenging trick: knowing how to wear it. We had several weeks before his big meeting to conduct role playing making him more comfortable presenting in his power suit attire. I role played the CEO of the company and Louis was of course presenting as himself. Louis wore everything as if it were a real marketing pitch to get him more comfortable. Nothing says I am not use to wearing suits than the constant adjusting your shirt collar or tie or moving your shoulders to help relieve the stress from wearing a tie and collared shirt. After many attempts over a period of time, I had him dry clean all items including his tie a week prior to his presentation to ensure everything was clean. When worn at the appropriate time, comfort conditions, and place, the right suit can make a powerful statement which one creates lasting positive impressions and could even impact the course of your career.

Winning the Battle against Alopecia!

by Jamie Elmore

I’ve been a hair stylist for 24 years, I am in the business of making men and women look good and feel amazing. In 1993 I noticed my hair unusually shedding and falling out after the birth of my daughter. In 1998, I found my first bald spot at the nape of my neck which would consistently grow in and fall out. My hair loss would move to different areas of my head and scalp. I would wake up and look in the mirror and it looked like someone took an eraser and erased the hair off of my scalp. Even my eyebrows had bald spots. I was in shock and devastated. In 2004 I finally had the courage to go to the Doctor and was diagnosed with Alopecia. In the beginning it was very difficult. I was very uncomfortable going to places for the most part due to the bald spots. I stayed at home and tried to stay away from large crowds. Out in the public I always thought people were staring and looking at me. I struggled with the diagnosis for years. I was in a very low place and my life hung in a balance. There were times that I did not care if I lived or died. I went through major depression, weight gain, weight loss and just a deep dark sense of loneliness. I always felt nervous, ashamed and unattractive. To the men and women going through this experience, I say to you, that you are not alone. You have been fearfully and wonderfully made by God. I would also say to YOU, do not allow others; the world, the media, the videos, social media, etc. to define you or tell you what beauty is supposed to look like. Please know that you are unique and valuable, there is no one else like you.

“Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.” (I Pet. 3:3-4)

I’d come to learn that my identity and self-worth was not in my hair! In June 2006, I had the fearlessness to shave the remaining hair from my head, and now in confidence I am able to wear a completely bald head. I am now able to embrace who I am and that led me to the road of personal and spiritual healing. I am more than my hair. My true value is not in what I wear, it is not what I own or what I drive, where I live or how much money I make but in what I am made of inside. I am no longer hiding from myself or those who knew me. I am now walking in freedom and fulfilling part of my purpose to “Empower, Support and Encourage” individuals living with Alopecia and hair loss.

Find That Drama Free Nail salon A few tips to help your fingerTIPS!

A trip to the salon can be as good as a one on one therapy session that takes place on a plush couch. Salons can be a place of relaxation, release and mental rejuvenation. However, not all salons are created equal. If you want your nail experience to be up to par, it might be a good idea to do some research, and make sure your salon is doing its very best to make your experience as positive as possible. A trip to the nail salon can easily turn into a hassle if the salon is not following the proper procedures. No one wants to have to deal with nail problems as a result of using the wrong salon. So if you are in search of a top quality nail salon, continue reading these tips, and you may find yourself avoiding a lot of hassle in the end.

Modern Equipment Your nail salon should not only provide a clean and relaxing atmosphere, but also equipment that is up-to-date. New tools and equipment are coming out constantly. Salon owners who care about their clientele will constantly upgrade equipment to ensure that their customers are getting the best possible. Salons that use old and outdated equipment aren't necessarily bad choices. However, the use of old and outdated equipment has its drawbacks. It also says a lot about the salon owners’ care for the customer and the experience they are providing.

Sanitary Conditions A lot of risks can come as a result of not using sanitary equipment. Infections and fungi are just a couple of examples of what can happen as a result of not using sanitary equipment. When you go in for a relaxing day at the salon, the last thing you want to go home with is a nail infection. Inspect your salon for cleanliness. Make sure the staff is either using new tools or have proper sanitizing equipment nearby their work spaces. CKW

Friendly Service Most would agree that you want to be treated well when you go in for a nail makeover. When choosing your salon, be sure to go in and meet the nail techs to be sure they are someone you will enjoy being around for the next hour. Don't settle for anything less than friendly service from professionals who will cater to your needs and answer any questions you may have.

Variety of Services Everyone is different, and everyone has different tastes and needs. That's why finding a salon that offers a large variety of services is so important. Some may go for a plain manicure, while others prefer a full set of tips. If you like artwork on your nails, look for someone who is skilled at providing that service. There are many options available when it comes to nails. Make sure you're not missing out on any of the options available by choosing a salon that provides those options. A good salon should offer both gel and acrylic as well as other options. Don't forget to look over the color options as well. Your salon should offer a plethora of colors and decals to customize your nails. There are many great salons out there, but there are a lot of bad ones as well. If you want to make the very best of your nail experience, you may want to do some research before choosing the salon that's right for you. You may end up saving yourself a lot of hassle in the long run. The internet can be a very useful tool while searching for a nail salon that's up to par in your area. So do your research, and book your appointment with peace of mind. CheaKWoolfolk.com26

That is until I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer three weeks after my 40th birthday. Battling stage 3 breast cancer included 1.5 years of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, 6 weeks of radiation treatments, a three part breast reconstruction process, mounds of bills, and three years of my life that was basically a living hell. Do I have your attention now? However, what if I told you that I could offer you products that would give you some peace of mind? essential oils that lift the mood and work in connection with a healthy lifestyle. While I’m no chemist or doctor, and I don’t have the answer to where cancer comes from, I do know that my cancer was not hereditary, and only 10% of cancers are hereditary so it’s a high probability that the carcinogens in our foods, personal care products, along with toxins in the air could be the culprit.I can’t say this for sure, but it’s a possibility worth taking note of. I also know first hand that the changes I made in my lifestyle, from food, to personal products have allowed me to not only survive Stage 3 breast cancer, but to thrive! I must say, I do feel, and look pretty good, for what I have endured the past three years. When I was first diagnosed with cancer, I remember my aunt, who is like a mother to me saying, “You are not sick, so do not expect to just lie around here and feel sorry for yourself.””You need to learn a new language, take a class or something.” Well, I did take a class during my journey, and I began to focus on what my new world would include. My diet consisted of: organic meats, organic fruits and vegetables, regular exercise, and changes in my personal products. While going through chemotherapy I was very afraid that my skin was going to be mutilated, much like the rest of my body. I looked for different products to use, but what I found was minimal, and many of them were not as natural as they advertised. I decided to research and study oils and butters, essential oils, and foods going back to the basics. I felt that they were the foods that God had provided for us. I looked for products that were available for cancer patients, and I even looked in the hospital cancer stores, but I found only bits and pieces of things here and there. My first product was body oil I slathered on every day after my shower, and to my surprise all through my treatments I was advised that my skin was beautiful and glowed. One woman at the cancer center asked “Are you sure you’re sick, “because, I never looked that good when I was sick, or not sick?” From there I worked on a deodorant CKW

Research has not yet concluded that there is any connection between the two, yet many of the ingredients in the products are known carcinogens or hormone disruptors. My cancer was estrogen positive, which means it was fueled by estrogen, so any additional hormones are now a big no-no for me. Who Is This Miriam Be? Miriam Be. is a sister, a friend, a volunteer, a neighbor, a co-worker, an aunt, a daughter, a niece, a woman, and lastly a breast cancer survivor. You could say that I’m educated. I have a degree or two from two of the finest Universities in Tennessee: UTK and TN Tech. I’m a person who has flaws and past hurts like my precious mother dropping dead on my 34th birthday. I’m also a person who’s had tragedy and struggles, yet I’m a normal everyday person. I battled the toxins of chemotherapy in my body for 1.5 years. Chemotherapy tried to steal my vitality, all while trying to cure me. I had to deal with the feelings of no longer feeling or looking like a woman after losing all my hair on every part of my body, my breasts, and losing my ability to have children. There were the mental and physical scars of a double mastectomy, the intense burning of my skin through 33 radiation treatments, a three part surgery, one part which was 10 hours, for reconstruction in an effort to feel like a complete woman again. What makes Miriam Be. different? She is a woman that BE.-lieves in THEE God of her understanding to be healed. A woman that encourages others to not just be inspired by her or her story, but instead BE. Better than her! Reminding you to use all the gifts He (God) gave you! A woman that is passionate about educating others about breast cancer and ways you may reduce your risk of being diagnosed. Body by Miriam Be., does three things for its consumer. 1.) It educates. Diabetes hits women hard, especially at midlife

ACCORDING TO THE NEW STUDY, FOR EVERY YEAR 100 WOMEN OBSERVED, 11.8 PREMENOPAUSAL WOMEN DEVELOPED DIABETES, COMPARED TO 10.5 AMONG WOMEN IN NATURAL MENOPAUSE AND CKW 12.9 CASES AMONG WOMEN WHO HAD THEIR OVARIES REMOVED.

CheaKWoolfolk.com35

It is an idea that has been hinted at for some time, and its answer is important for all middle-aged women. Does menopause influence one's risk for type 2 diabetes? With the latest health news, it's time to don a smile, because researchers found the answer to be "no." Postmenopausal women had no higher risk for diabetes whether they experienced natural menopause or had their ovaries removed, according to the national clinical trial of 1,237 women at high risk for diabetes, ages 40 to 65. In other words, menopause had no additional effect on risk for diabetes. Menopause remains one of many small steps in aging and it doesn't mean women's health will be worse after going through this transition. The results are published in the August issue of "Menopause." CKW

The findings also shed light on the impact of diet and exercise and hormone replacement therapy on the health of postmenopausal women. Previous studies had shown that menopause could speed the progression to diabetes because of the higher levels of testosterone. All the women in the study had "glucose intolerance," meaning their bodies struggled to process blood sugar into energy. The researchers have shown that lifestyle interventions can help prevent diabetes in those with glucose intolerance. These interventions work well in women who have gone through menopause. CheaKWoolfolk.com36

According to the new study, for every year 100 women observed, 11.8 premenopausal women developed diabetes, compared to 10.5 among women in natural menopause and 12.9 cases among women who had their ovaries removed. But for those who had their ovaries removed and engaged in lifestyle changes, the rate of diabetes plummeted to 1.1. Those changes included losing seven percent of their body weight (that would be 12.6 pounds for a 180-pound woman) and exercising for at least 150 minutes a week. They found these results surprising, as the women had gone on hormone replacement therapy, which many fear escalates the risk for many health issues. The message to take away from this is that lifestyle changes to shed pounds could reduce your risk of developing diabetes. CKW

PEOPLE FAIL AT FITNESS

Everyone can agree that regular exercise is important, so why do so many people struggle to stick with their fitness goals? If you've encountered barriers holding you back from committing to a fitness routine, you're not alone. The health experts at the Mayo Clinic offer simple ideas for overcoming the five most common hurdles to fitness commitment. For more ideas visit healthcheckup.mayoclinic.org. Challenge 1: I don't have enough time to exercise. Setting aside time to exercise can be a challenge, so it's important to use a little creativity to get the most out of your time. Squeeze in short walks: If you don't have time for a full workout, don't sweat it. Shorter spurts of exercise, such as 10 minutes of walking spaced throughout the day, offers benefits too. Get up early: If your days are packed and the evening hours are hectic, get up 30 minutes earlier twice a week to exercise.

Cont. Drive less, walk more: Park in the back row of the parking lot or even a few blocks away and walk to your destination. Revamp your rituals: Your weekly Saturday matinee with the kids could be reborn as your weekly bike ride, rock-climbing lesson or trip to the pool. Challenge 2: I think exercise is boring. It's natural to grow weary of a repetitive workout day after day, especially when you're going it alone. But exercise doesn't have to be boring. Choose fun activities: You'll be more likely to stay interested. Remember, anything that gets you moving counts. Vary the routine: Rotate among several activities - such as walking, swimming and cycling - to keep you on your toes while conditioning different muscle groups. Join forces: Exercise with friends, relatives, neighbors or co-workers. You'll enjoy the camaraderie and the encouragement of the group. Explore new options: Learn new skills while working out. Check out exercise classes or sports leagues at a recreation center or health club. Challenge 3: I'm self-conscious about how I look. Fitness isn't just about what you look like on the outside, it's the inside as well. Remind yourself what a great favor you're doing for your cardiovascular health, or focus on how much stronger you feel after a workout. Avoid the crowd: If you're uncomfortable exercising around others, go solo at first. Try an exercise video or an activity-oriented video game. Make an investment: Consider investing in home exercise equipment like a stationary bicycle, treadmill or a stair-climbing machine that you can use at home on your own time. Focus on the future: Praise yourself for making a commitment to your health. Remember that as you become fitter and more comfortable exercising, your self-confidence is likely to improve as well. Challenge 4: I'm too tired to exercise. No energy to exercise? Without exercise, you'll have no energy. It's a vicious cycle. But breaking the cycle with physical activity is one of the best gifts you can give yourself.

Conquering the top 5 reasons people fail at fitness

Cont.

Try a morning workout: Hop on the treadmill or stationary bicycle while you listen to the radio or watch the morning news. Make lunchtime count: Keep a pair of walking shoes at your desk and take a brisk walk during your lunch break. Be prepared: Make sure you have comfortable shoes and loose-fitting clothes for exercising readily available at home and in your car. Challenge 5: I can't afford health club fees. You don't need a membership at an elite gym to get a great workout. Consider easy and free alternatives. Do strengthening exercises at home: Use inexpensive resistance bands - lengths of elastic tubing that come in varying strengths - in place of weights. Do pushups or squats using your body weight. Start a walking group: Round up friends, neighbors or coworkers for regular group walks. Plan routes through the neighborhood, along local parks and trails, or in a nearby shopping mall. Take the stairs: Skip the elevator when you can and climb the stairs. Try your community center: Exercise classes offered through a local recreation department or community education are often more budget-friendly than an annual gym membership. #healthyeating Nearly one-third of adults have high LDL-cholesterol levels, which is also known as bad cholesterol, a key risk factor for heart disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And, unfortunately, about 70 percent of adults with high LDL-cholesterol don't have the condition under control. For the many people working to manage their cholesterol levels with the help of their diet, including corn oil may provide important heart-health benefits. Recent research in the Journal of Clinical Lipidology shows that a diet with corn oil, like Mazola, helps lower LDL-cholesterol and total cholesterol more than extra virgin olive oil. Additionally, corn oil has four times more cholesterol-blocking plant sterols than olive oil and 40 percent more than canola oil. Plant sterols are plantbased compounds naturally present in fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, cereals, legumes and vegetable oils. When consumed as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, plant sterols can help reduce the absorption of cholesterol in the gut, which, in turn, can lower LDL-cholesterol. And, when it comes to heart health, the type of fat in the diet matters. In fact, in the newly released 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the emphasis is no longer on eating a low-fat diet but instead choosing quality fats. This includes replacing saturated fats that are known to contribute to heart disease with unsaturated fats, including polyunsaturated fats, like those in Mazola Corn Oil. Corn oil has more than five times the amount of polyunsaturated fats compared to olive oil. Replacing saturated fat with heart-healthy polyunsaturated fats can reduce the risk of heart disease. What's more, corn oil's neutral taste complements the natural flavors of foods, making it perfect for stir-frying, sautĂŠing, grilling and even baking. Get more delicious recipes at Mazola.com. CKW

If a big part of your weekend is dedicated to experimenting with recipes and combining ingredients to create new flavors, you just might be a foodie. If you have a checklist of restaurants you've been meaning to try but haven't had a chance to because you've been busy eating elsewhere, chances are more than one friend has called you a foodie. Like many people who seek out delicious meals, you probably know what every chef knows: the secret to great cooking is always fresh ingredients. The best way to ensure fresh ingredients is to grow them yourself. Many who live in urban areas, in condos or in apartments feel that because they don't have a yard, they can't grow their own herbs or vegetables. But brands like Burpee are encouraging urban gardening, and have opened a world of herb and veggie plants for those who only have a deck or a windowsill. To give you an idea of what kind of culinary adventures you can have, here are five tips for vegetable gardening in a small space. Window box gardening You don't need a big backyard, in many cases all you need is a box and a window. Window box gardening is not only an efficient way to maximize space, but a great way to add an edible aspect to your dĂŠcor. Try small-space vegetable plants like peppermint stick celery or masterpiece pea for their unique taste and texture. Become a homegrown mixologist Use the fresh herbs you grow to make exciting cocktails for your guests. Herbs add depth and personality to cocktails, and even provide some much-needed vitamins, so you'll be drinking to your health. A few ideas are mint for the perfect summertime Mojitos, rosemary infused greyhounds, or a sprig of parsley and thyme in your Bloody Mary. Color your world There's an old saying that you should eat the rainbow. Well, you should also grow the rainbow! Tomatoes, peppers and eggplants are just some of the veggies that can make up a colorful home display. Best of all, these healthy and delicious veggies, like Burpee's sweet savour pepper plant, can be grown on your doorstep, balcony or patio. You're never too old to play with your food Growing your own vegetables means you have ample opportunity to experiment and "play" with your food. This can be as easy as adding some fresh herbs like mint or rosemary to ice cream or experimenting with pickling using those extra cucumbers you've grown. CKW

Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but it can often be the one that's hardest to fit into busy schedules. Even if you have time for breakfast, you may find yourself trading wholesomeness and quality for speed and convenience. However, having better-for-you breakfasts need not require a lot of time or effort. It can be as simple as making better and smarter choices. "One of my favorite breakfasts is a bagel with cream cheese, but when I was looking to make healthier choices, I thought this was too indulgent," said New York Times best-selling author and food blogger Andie Mitchell. "In reality, it's about moderation and eating a whole wheat bagel with a natural cream cheese is a guilt-free breakfast option I love." Here are five wholesome, yet easy breakfast options that can start your day off on the right nutritional foot: 1. Better-for-you bagel and cream cheese Who doesn't love a good bagel? They're quick, convenient and delicious. They even have their own celebratory day - Feb. 9 is National Bagel Day. If you've been shying away from this traditional favorite thinking you don't need all the carbs of bagels and the additives in most cream cheeses, it's time to rethink your view. A whole grain bagel topped with a better-for-you spread, like Arla cream cheese, is a satisfying and delicious start to the day. Arla's cream cheeses (Original, Light, Herbs & Spices, Peppercorn and Blueberry) are free of artificial flavors, preservatives, thickeners and stabilizers. Visit www.ArlaUSA.com to learn more and to discover unique topping combinations from Blueberry cream cheese with smashed berries to Peppercorn cream cheese with Canadian bacon and cooked egg whites. 2. A better breakfast burrito Classic breakfast burritos are filling, satisfying and nourishing, but unless you go the frozen route, you may not have the time to whip up a morning burrito. A faster, wholesome option awaits - simply top a whole-grain tortilla with your favorite Arla cream cheese, add fresh-sliced fruit such as kiwi, apple or banana, fold in half and enjoy! 3. Outstanding oatmeal As breakfast cereals go, oatmeal is a nutritional champ. A 1-cup serving of plain oatmeal has about 150 calories, and it's loaded with nourishing fiber, protein and vitamin A. Add flavor with wholesome toppings like fresh berries, chopped apples, raisins or nuts. Here's even better news - plain instant oatmeal has the same basic nutritional value as the kind you slow-cook yourself, according to the USDA's Nutrient Database. However, be wary of flavored versions that may have a lot of added sugar. CKW

CheaKWoolfolk.com60

Whole grain pancakes are a great treat for breakfast.

4. Terrific toasts A slice of toasted white bread slathered in butter isn't sufficient for a good breakfast, but you can take toast to the next level and create a morning meal that's tasty, wholesome and toasted. Start by toasting a slice of whole grain bread. Next spread on some protein - this could be a sugar-free peanut butter, almond butter or better-for-you cream cheese. Top with your favorite fruit or veggies. For example, banana slices go well with peanut butter; mango or kiwi cubes are yummy with light cream cheese; and tomato slices atop Arla's Peppercorn cream cheese make for a great wake-up call! 5. Easier eggs Everyone knows eggs are a breakfast staple, but who has the time to prepare them in the morning when you're trying to get everyone out the door? You do! The microwave is your morning best friend, from reheating your coffee to whipping up delectable, easy and wholesome egg breakfasts. You can make scrambled eggs in minutes. Just crack an egg into a microwavesafe cup, add a tablespoon of water or milk, a dash of cayenne pepper and some salt, and a teaspoon or two of your favorite veggie finely diced, such as scallions, tomatoes or mushrooms. Top with a generous spoonful of shredded Havarti or Gouda cheese and microwave everything for 45 seconds. Stir and microwave for another 45 seconds until the eggs are set. Breakfast doesn't have to be time-consuming or a disappointing compromise. A few better-foryou breakfast options can set a healthful, happy tone for the rest of your day. CKW

YOU GOT IT...WRITE?

Growing up I dreamed of being a published author, becoming rich and famous and giving up my mundane 9-5. I pictured myself living in a six bedroom home with a spiral staircase, beautiful deck, and small pond in the center of the backyard. Writing was the one thing that brought me an extreme amount of joy. I escaped from the pressures of adolescence byway of short stories, poetry, and plays. I combatted loneliness, heartache, and depression through therapeutic writing. It came natural to me. Almost as natural as breathing. Several years ago, the only way one would get their book published was through a traditional publishing company. You would submit your query letter, pray your opening sentence grabbed and lured the literary agent in, so much so, that they’d request the first three chapters and an outline of your completed manuscript. I was so glad when that changed.

Today, you can publish your own book with the simple click of a button. Companies such as Amazon CreateSpace and Lulu allow authors to upload their completed manuscript and in seconds‌viola! Your eBook or print copy is available to millions. Being a self-published author allows you complete control of your product. You control the content, when it’s released, what the cover looks like and how much it costs. You don’t have to worry about giving a percentage to an agent. You keep it all! However, receiving an advancement check from a traditional publishing company could also be nice (if you didn’t have to pay it back). Self-publishing is no easy task. It’s a lot of work, especially if you’re operating as a one man (one woman) show. As with traditional publishing, there’s still the need for an editor or proofreader, graphic designer, illustrator etc.

So, if you have a story that you want to publish‌do it! First thing first. Protect your work. Make sure you copyright your work. Long gone are the days when an artist or writer would place their work in an envelope and mail it to themselves (also known as a “Poor Man’s Copyrightâ€?). This process, contrary to popular belief, added no additional protection to your work. Visit www.copyright.gov to register your work and for additional information. You will also need to obtain an ISBN and/or Library of Congress number. This number is the 13-digit number that appears with the barcode on the back of the book. You will need a different number for each format of publication i.e. print, e-book, audio, etc. You can visit www.isbn.org for pricing and additional information. FYI‌the ISBN number and the barcode are sold separately. As I stated before, self-publishing is a lot of work. You will definitely get out of it what you put into it. You are your own everything! That is, if you don’t have a team behind you. You are publisher, marketing, promotions, etc. The one position I would suggest you leave to someone else is that of editor. A professional editor is worth every penny of the money you pay for him/her. You will receive quality work, something that Jenny, who got straight A’s in grammar in High School, just won’t be able to do. So, do your manuscript a favor‌hire a professional! If you are looking to write a book and need some direction, please feel free to contact me for a consultation. You can email me at neiceyford@gmail.com with “Consultâ€? in the subject line. Make sure you provide accurate contact info and allow 48hrs for a response. Everyone has a story and no one can tell yours better than you. So let’s get started! Blessings and love. Author Neicey Ford.

After Infidelity: Make up or Break up by: Ruth Martin

Relevance Info Services, an international publisher of quality information, approached me as an expert in relationship issues with the question if I could evaluate a number of websites that offer methods and tips for saving relationships and prevent a divorce. The fact is that, with respect for all the well meant kind of information, there are many offerings on the internet that are not based upon psychological principals. A lot of the presented materials cause more harm than any good. It is not composed by experts and that's certainly not what you want. If you are in serious trouble the situation demands a professional approach by people that are very experienced in solving relationship issues. This article is about what to do after infidelity. More articles will follow about related subjects.CKW

An infidelity is a betrayal, a loss of trust. It is lying or disloyalty to one's partner or lover. Infidelity may be sexual or emotional in nature and typically involves a third person. Infidelity does not necessarily involve physical separation, but can be characterized by emotional detachment as well. Emotional detachment can happen when you lose your partner's trust or if you lie to your partner or tell them half-truths. Betraying your partner may inflict a deep pain that is difficult to repair and sometimes causes irrevocable damage to the relationship that hastens its end. There are many things that can occur in the wake of an infidelity. If you are married, an infidelity could lead to divorce. If you are in a committed relationship, it could lead to a CheaKWoolfolk.com68 break up.

So what happens after infidelity occurs in your relationship?

There are distinct stages a relationship goes through in the wake of an infidelity. 1. Roller Coaster Stage. This is the stage where strong emotions arise - emotions such as anger and self-blame followed by a period of introspection and appreciation of the relationship. Just like it says, your emotions go for a roller coaster ride, up and down, round and round and it's a bit hard to figure out exactly where you are. 2. Moratorium Stage. This stage is a less emotional stage, at least for the person who was cheated upon. In this stage, the person affected tries to make sense of the betrayal. They may ask for more detail about the affair or retreat into themselves or quietly seek help from others regarding the issue. 3. Trust Building Stage. This stage takes place when the couple has decided to stay together. During this stage, the couple really tries to make their marriage work. They decide that a continued commitment to their relationship is important and with time, eventually forgiveness and trust can be achieved. CKW

After an infidelity occurs, you may still find yourself often doubting your partner. Don't lose heart, there is hope. Here are some signs that may indicate if a person is still worthy of your love. Expresses sincere remorse and regret for cheating on you Heartfelt apologies feel true when you hear them Accepts total blame for his or her betrayal Cuts off all contact with the third party Shows a renewed appreciation, admiration, respect and devotion to only you Displays a willingness and openness to talk about what happened Is willing and eager to go into marriage counseling with you CheaKWoolfolk.com69

If both of you are willing to participate in a deep, open, and honest conversation regarding your relationship and how you would like it to progress, there is a good chance you will be able to work through your issues. If, on the other hand, your partner is not open to discussing these things with you and not demonstrating any of the possible reconcilement signs listed above, it may be time to cut your losses and get out. Additional signs that it might be time to end the relationship are: your partner seems to be more agitated than usual and seems to emotionally and physically withdraw from you. They may go out alone more often and may be making clandestine phone calls or working late hours. You might even receive anonymous phone calls at the house. If several of these things are occurring, then most probably your partner is cheating on you. If you can find concrete evidence of this infidelity, then it's probably a good idea to break up. A relationship that is based on lies, lacks trust and lack of commitment is doomed to fail. After an infidelity occurs, be aware of any signs that may indicate your partner's willingness to stay and work it out or clear intention to follow along the path of continued betrayal. Just be careful and pay attention. Make the best decision for you. CKW

Dear Past Pain

By: Kim Moore The Agent of Change

First of all, I want to say to my children; “You all are the air that I breathe.”I love you all more than you will ever know, and any pain you’ve experienced due to my behavior; was a result of where I was at the time struggling with my own pain within.” This is one of the many reasons I tell you to never judge a book by its cover. ”Dear Past Pain; I just wanted to write you a letter to acknowledge all the discomfort that I experienced. I lived with you for years as a victim of domestic violence, drug addiction, and the opinions of others. I spent most of my life allowing the negative opinions of others to drive me emotionally. I can now clearly see that I was a willing participant in all of this. I grew up with great parents, and to the outside world it was assumed that I had it made. I outwardly appeared to be very successful but I was struggling just below surface. People had no idea of what I was going through, because I was too prideful to tell anyone that I was slowly dying on the inside, and you were with me everywhere that I went. My father has treated me like a queen my entire life, which makes it harder to understand how I could allow myself to accept inappropriate treatment from other people. He had tried to show me I was valuable, but somehow I didn’t understand it at the time. I never believed that I had low self-esteem, but I did. You knew how to saddle me with guilt, and it was very difficult for me to finally acknowledge this truth. Until you hit rock bottom some behaviors can be difficult to control. “Pain will make you change.” One day I had an epiphany, and I was in so much pain that I couldn’t take it anymore, and I knew that I never wanted to hurt like that again. It was a realization that I was worthy of being loved the right way, and loving myself first was where I had to begin. I had to let you go, for the people that I loved, but more than that for myself. The beginning of my transformation had begun. The most painful part of the process was first looking in the mirror, and then realizing that I was my own worst enemy. It was very painful to realize that I was the common denominator in all of my problems. However, once I allowed myself to accept that truth it became easier every day to break away from your grip. For the record, I want to say thank you to my “Past Pain”, because you changed me into the woman I’ve become, and you no longer define me. Today, I’m able to help others through whatever they’re going through due to my past experiences, and I get to make a difference in other people’s lives. Today, I accept myself and every flaw that I have. I’ve learned to love myself, which puts me in a much better position to love others. My current profession allows me to be an agent of change, which I’m very proud of. I’m a case manager for Reimage and I get to work daily with people just like me. I work side by side with Galen Demus who is my co-worker and one of my biggest cheerleaders in this battle we fight daily. I always tell people from the crack house to the Mayor’s office. God will take your pain and make you the face of CHANGE. I am grateful for every opportunity I have been given. Thank You Chea Wolfolk for the opportunity.

Sincerely, Kimberly Moore Agent of Change

Acknowledging "IT" Whatever your gift is, acknowledge it. Many of us fight being who we are meant to be, by failing to bring our talents and creativity to a level of exposure. We limit our talents, keeping them viewable to a few but stored away safely, so many will never have a clue to how epic we really are. This is also a disservice to God, our creator. His purpose is far greater than what we give ourselves the mindset of accepting, or becoming.

See it. Speak it. Live it. First, began visualizing yourself, operating within your gifts. Second, learn all there is know concerning your talent. Third, find support in others within the same arenas and begin visualizing yourself living the life you’re desiring to live through the gifts. Always remember "your paper is in your purpose," many of us live lives unfulfilled, merely because we are afraid to walk out in faith and live the life that ultimately God intended us to have.

Living Life Abundantly Becoming a comedian is really never anything you ultimately decide to do You just keep having birthdays and realize you’ve always been the clown amongst your peers. As you continue to evolve, I’ve sort of just become this very eclectic, goofy chic who for the most part grows up, but never grows old. The true process of living in abundance is not having the dream occupation, but more so doing everyday what you love to do. There are many occupations that are capable of bringing you money, but the ability to live through the efforts of your God given talents is the definition of living in abundance. The prerequisites of living out your purpose includes taking your gifts seriously, and entails both knowing and accepting your calling. With God, faith, the laws of attraction and the power of words, the mind conceptualizes your greatness and works to manifest its own destiny. As a single mother, with many life forward knowing God is the author of my life story. That's the secret of abundantly living. Steve Jobs, former CEO of Apple often said "the first day I work, is the day I will quit.” Loving what you do is never a job. It's a passion.

3 month guide CheaKWoolfolk.com77

(BPT) - The dress, the tux, the guests, the honeymoon - there are so many details that go into your wedding day. All eyes are on you from the moment you walk down the aisle until the last dance of the night. Understandably so, brides and grooms often feel a lot of pressure to look their best on this important day - there's nothing like a wedding to motivate you to get serious about your health and fitness goals. But crash diets or extreme exercise programs are never the answer. "It's usually best to start thinking about your specific goals three months before your wedding day to allow plenty of time to establish your routine and adjust to a healthier lifestyle," says Steve Bronston, certified personal trainer with Life Time, a healthy way of life company that operates more than 115 health and wellness centers nationwide. "This creates a great opportunity for the bride and groom to support each other and get in shape together." Bronston and Life Time offer a three-month countdown plan to get you ready for the big day: CKW

Shedding for the wedding: Your 3-month guide

Cont.

Weeks 1-4 Focus on changing your unhealthy habits. Nutrition is key when trying to lose weight, decrease body fat and increase your overall health. Work with a professional to lay out a detailed nutrition plan that consists of carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats at each meal. Then, begin with a fitness program that incorporates weight training and cardio intervals. Arm exercises like overhead press, tricep push-ups and bicep curls, and back exercises like rows and rear flys help brides looking to tone up for a strapless or low-back dress. Bronston suggests starting with two or three days of weight training, two or three days of cardio and one day of Pilates or yoga. Weeks 5-8 Now it's time to switch up your exercise routines. It's a good idea to work with a personal trainer or join a group fitness class once or twice a week to shake up your routine and stay motivated. Your workouts should include one to two weight training exercises per body part throughout the week. If you can, try to shift the amount of weight you use and number of repetitions you do to help stimulate change within your body. Continue a cardio routine of two to three days per week and add in another day or Pilates or yoga. Weeks 9-12 It is important to keep up with your developing healthy habits as the weeks progress, but as your wedding day approaches, you're sure to feel the stress of planning. "A new focus on rest and relaxation during this time period is key," Bronston says. You can eat well and exercise perfectly, but without sleep, stretching, rest and recovery, your body is at risk of not functioning properly. Planning a wedding can be stressful and tiresome, but if you commit to a healthy diet and fitness plan, you'll walk down the aisle feeling confident and ready for your new life ahead.

The terms wedding and money go hand in hand. The average wedding cost is now up to $31,213 according to theknot.com, and that's not even including the honeymoon. Because of increasing costs, more and more couples are looking to plan a smaller, more intimate ceremony. While there's no universal way to define a small wedding, it typically involves a limited gathering of family and close friends. No matter the size of your guest list, you're bound to feel the stress of planning as you want your day to be perfect. But opting for a modest-sized wedding opens the door to endless options and possibilities. Here are some tips for making your small-scale wedding the event of the year: Whittle down your guest list If you can keep your guest count low, the cost for just about everything you need for your wedding will significantly decrease. There's always going to be more guests you could invite, but if you're making a point to have a small wedding, people will be understanding. Set limits and stick to them.

Rent what you can Rental stores offer a wide range of products to fit weddings of any size or theme. A smaller wedding opens up your options when it comes to venue and personalization. You'll likely need tables and chairs, tents, a dance floor and maybe even china, tableware and linens. Start by searching on RentalHQ.com to find a store for all your decorating and setup needs. Keep the menu simple One of the biggest costs of a wedding is the food, so try to shy away from extravagant and fancy menu items. All you need are a few key dishes and one or two desserts to keep everyone satisfied. Your guests aren't coming to ogle over a lavish spread, they simply want to be there to celebrate with the happy couple. Stick to your budget Create a budget using money you already have in the bank. There's no need to go into debt when planning an intimate wedding. If you have $1,000 to spend, then plan a $1,000 wedding. If you stick to a moderate budget, you're more likely to keep the planning and actual event in control. Think outside the box A small wedding may require a bit of strategic thinking and DIY projects. For example, you can make your own invitations and party favors to not only save money, but to reflect your unique personality as a couple. You can also get creative with the venue, like a small bed and breakfast, restaurant or historic home. There's no need to book an entire banquet hall. Let these straightforward ideas take some of the stress out of your wedding planning. After all, your wedding day is supposed to be one of the happiest occasions. A CHILD'S INVISIBLE STRUGGLE

CKW

Suzanne Lang fondly remembers asking her then 5-year-old son, Alec, what he wanted to be for Halloween. "The king," he said, beaming. So they went to the craft store and picked out red velvet and white fur for a cape. Lang made a scepter out of cardboard and spray-painted it gold. "When I put the crown on his head, he looked at me with big eyes, full of confidence and joy," she says. "Sadly, I wouldn't see that look again for many years." There had been hints back in preschool that something wasn't right. Alec's speech was slightly off. He had trouble in kindergarten with letters and words. But at the same time, he was CheaKWoolfolk.com84 very bright, creative and inquisitive.

Learning and attention issues: A child's invisible struggle Cont. In first grade, things began to unravel. Every day the class would spend time writing in their journals. And every day Alec would try hard but only manage to write one word - and he'd spell it wrong, too. School became unbearable for him. He began chewing through pencil erasers. He'd come home after school yelling or crying, feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. In third grade, when his school evaluated him, he told the staff he was "stupid," even though the evaluation found he actually had a very high IQ. "My little 'king' seemed so far away," Lang noted. Eventually, the Lang family discovered that Alec had dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). These issues aren't uncommon: one in five children struggle with brain-based issues related to reading, math, writing, attention and organization. "Back then, all I knew was that I needed to start looking for ways to help my son," Lang says. "But I hit a roadblock I never expected; few parents wanted to open up to me about their children's struggles." It's an uncomfortable subject, after all. It's also invisible - no one can tell by looking at a child that he can't read or write. "I turned to the Internet, but it was beyond frustrating. Most websites were full of confusing education jargon. And if I found a site I liked, I kept wondering, 'Can I really trust this information?'" Lang spent countless hours tracking down experts, eventually finding a reading specialist named Margie Gillis. "She helped us understand two very important things: why my son was struggling and how I could help him," Lang says. That knowledge marked a turning point for the Langs. They found a middle school that gave Alec the chance to meet other kids with learning and attention issues. This helped build his confidence and gave him a sense of community. "I remember him saying, 'I never thought there were so many people like me,'" Suzanne says. Once he had the kind of instruction and support he needed, Alec started to make progress. By the end of middle school, he even started talking about wanting to go to college. "Even as Alec started to thrive, a sadness came over me," Lang says. "I thought, 'How many other parents are out there looking for answers?'" That's when she embarked on a new mission - to help other parents whose children have learning and attention issues. That journey led her to join the team at Understood.org, a comprehensive resource that empowers parents of kids with learning and attention issues. CKW

"I thought, 'How many other parents are out there looking for answers?'" Understood was created by 15 nonprofits that care deeply about kids with learning and attention issues. Its mission is to empower parents with clear explanations and practical advice about learning and attention issues. This powerful new resource offers parents daily access to experts, personalized support and connection to other parents in a safe online community. One of the site's interactive tools, Through Your Child's Eyes, allows parents to experience the challenges of living with learning and attention issues, like ADHD or dyslexia. All for free. "Understood launched in October 2014, and my greatest hope is that it becomes a lifeline to every parent who is looking for answers," Lang says. Alec is now a college freshman studying engineering. He's on the dean's list and is thinking about what he'll do after graduation. "I asked him when he visited over spring break if he knew what he wanted to do, having so many options," Lang says. While Alec doesn't exactly know yet, he did let his mother know that he wanted to do something cutting edge - something that will "change the world." "He was confident, almost beaming," she says. PREVENTING BRAIN DRAIN: IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF A SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM

CKW

Do you hear that? It's the cheering of students as they run through the hallways on the last day of school. They're excited for three months of playing outside with no teachers and no assignments. What will they get into this summer that will keep them entertained, active, using their brains and socializing with peers? "It can be tempting for kids to fall into the old habit of lounging on the couch in front of the TV all day when out of school. Students often don't get an adequate mix of challenge and fun during the summer months," says Ellen Marks, Curriculum Director of Bricks 4 Kidz(R), an awardwinning summer camp and after-school program. "Summer is an ideal time for them to take on new challenges, engage in critical thinking and have fun with peers in an energetic atmosphere." Luckily, you have somewhere to turn to shift your children's summer break into a fun learning opportunity. The last day of school comes faster than you think, so there's no time to waste. If you're looking for a way to combat couch-potato syndrome and keep your child entertained, an exciting summer camp program may be just what your family needs. A pool of talented Bricks 4 Kidz camp teachers are waiting to help your children grow while having a blast. Your child's summer camp should: CheaKWoolfolk.com88

Use relatable and engaging tools

LEGO Bricks are the ultimate informal learning tool, especially in the summer when kids are wishing for more fun playtime. Not only do they prompt kids to naturally practice methods of engineering through hands-on building, they also engage their imaginations and boundless creativity. Gears, motors, robotics, and LEGO computer software programs also help children grasp technology in ways they might not during the school year, so they'll experience a whole new level of amusement. When building with LEGO Bricks, it's only natural that kids will develop enhanced spatial awareness, visual processing, and fine motor skills. Even better, the Bricks 4 Kidz proprietary models and camp activities are centered around popular themes that kids love! Get children away from TV and video games

Preventing brain drain: Important aspects of a summer learning program Cont.

Don't let your kids sit at home in front of a screen all summer. "Children need a chance to experience working in a group setting as well as on their own," says Michelle Cote, founder and president of Bricks 4 Kidz. "Group work allows them the opportunity to collaborate and learn about their peers, while working alone helps build self-confidence. Creative and imaginative play is also beneficial to child development, so help your kids get up off the couch and into an environment that encourages both playtime and learning." Kids can easily avoid brain drain this summer when they learn through playing. Put them in a program that will employ their minds while having fun and making friends along the way. To find a program in your area, visit www.bricks4kidz.com. You can learn more about their programs and new summer camps by searching for a location by state or zip code. CKW

Locally Owned Barbershop Brings More to the City than Just Barbering & Nails Big City Styles opened its doors for business in 1998 with a vision of bringing more to the city of Louisville than just barbering and nail services. Owner Mr. Julius K Wilkerson Jr. and wife Sondra Wilkerson, for most of their entrepreneurial careers have been creative and courageous enough to think outside the box. The Wilkerson’s were interested in providing a professional environment in which staff and clients alike could experience professionalism without the stiff rigidity that many upscale shops embody. The feel when you walk inside Big City Styles is one of pleasant peace and easy comfort. The couple upholds a comfort concept that ensures each client is welcomed and at ease both with the environment and the quality of service provided by their talented team of professionals. However, this locally owned barbershop brings more to the city than just barbering and nails. Unless you’ve been under a rock you’ve probably heard about The Soul Lounge Louisville KY., an entertainment event series hosted by the couple annually born from their love of music, art and poetry. Clients would often inquire about music playing inside the shop. The Wilkerson’s decided one weekend to host an event from their establishment showcasing some of the artists played and as they say, the rest is history. People began to request more event dates, audiences began to grow and artists began to inquire about bookings. Nine years later, The Soul Lounge has grown to be a very highly anticipated annual event series presented by the couple’s parent company Big City Styles. If you would like to include your business in the publication used to advertise this event series, email your inquiry to Julius or Sondra at bigcitystyles@gmail.com ~ CKW CheaKWoolfolk.com97

ENTREPRENEURS FIND OPPORTUNITY AFTER THE MILITARY IN KEY CITIES By BPT

CKW

CheaKWoolfolk.com101

John Lentini carefully considered his career options after leaving the Navy. He decided to leverage the leadership skills fostered in the military by starting a business in Asheville, North Carolina, specializing in search-engine optimization.

"We have about 70,000 veterans in Sarasota County and surrounding areas, including 14,000 military officers," says McCarthy, who served in the Navy. "It's very veteran friendly with lots of activities for veterans. When you have that type of support, it makes it easy."

"I had the infrastructure to do it, and there wasn't a lot of competition," says Lentini, owner of AshevilleSEO.org. "In Asheville, people like to support local things."

This list provides a snapshot of places where starting a small business could make sense. For instance, it excludes areas with a median cost of living of more than 20 percent above the national average.

Lentini's example supports the findings in a recent list that named Asheville as the best place in the United States for veteran entrepreneurs. Military transition experts with USAA and an initiative of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation called Hiring Our Heroes commissioned the list. They worked with researchers from Sperling's BestPlaces and the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University to come up with a list of 10 metro areas with a strong veteran-owned and small business environment. They analyzed more than 400 metropolitan areas by criteria such as veteran-owned businesses per capita, small businesses per capita and overall economic stability. Cities in Florida and North Carolina dominated the list. "This list identifies the top places for those veterans who want to use their discipline and determination to start and grow a small business," says Eric Eversole, vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and president of Hiring Our Heroes. Geographic location choices are very important for service members entering the civilian workforce, especially those wanting to start their own business, Eversole says. That's certainly the case for Brian McCarthy, CEO of Always Home, a real estate company specializing in concierge services for landlords and absentee homeowners. Always Home is based in Sarasota, Florida, which ranks No. 2 on the list of Best Places for Veteran Entrepreneurs.

CKW

It also aligns with the post-separation help service members learn about through the military transition assistance program from the U.S. Department of Defense. USAA also offers the military separation assessment tool to help give veterans a starting point from which to plan their next steps. Lentini, the Asheville business owner, gives simple advice whenever he meets with others transitioning away from military life. "Use whatever resources you can get your hands on," Lentini says. "And don't be shy about telling customers you're a veteran. It helps."

Creating wealth is not an overnight occurrence, but we can create it by learning a simple strategy to sell an item that makes us a five dollar profit, then by selling that product repeatedly we scale that product to other products, and wealth will surely follow. Don’t kill me, I’m simply the messenger. It was in front of you the whole time. I’m not saying this to make you doubt your ability to perceive things, I’m just certain that we’ve all been led to believe that successful people are smarter, or that their work ethic is insane, or that the information is hidden. This simply isn’t true. You are just as smart, and just as motivated, you simply need the vehicle and you’re destiny awaits you. I’m still in the process of creating my own wealth, and I can tell you that the information that I spent all of those years looking for was right in front of me the whole time. I have a library full of self-help books that promised different levels of understanding that I somehow thought I didn’t understand, and I can tell you this, and you should listen very carefully, because this is my profound truth. The truth is I could’ve done it the whole time, I just never trusted myself enough to simplify the process and to act. I always felt like I needed someone else to be involved, just in case I didn’t understand some level of the process. Now, I truly understand that it’s simple. Freedom lies in sales. It’s the level playing field that all of us can be a part of regardless of where we come from. If you build a better mouse trap, or sell grandma’s famous lemonade recipe you can make money and lots of it. People often ask “what sells online?, and the answer to that is “everything. So, find your niche, do some research, and see what other top sellers are selling. You can find the goose the lays the golden eggs just like every other power seller or top rated online seller. Don’t be afraid to make some mistakes and don’t be worried about making it all on one deal. The slow, meticulous, consistent, mentality will serve you well as you proceed.

CKW

Lastly, making money online is about margins just like any other business venture. If you follow the simple rule to buy low and sell high you’ll be fine, but if you have too much interest in products with small margins you may sell a lot, but the profits will be very slim. This could be a great opportunity for any ambitious entrepreneurs, or stay at home moms looking to work from home or start a legitimate home based business. If you’re looking for information or if you’re just wondering where to start check out http://www.Techdaddyvideos.com there are several packages available to get you started on your road to online sales and financial prosperity. You have the motivation and the will, now you have the vehicle. The sky is the limit! Good Luck and Happy Sourcing!
