About Me: Ever since I was little I have loved the idea of being a designer. With my abilities in both math and art, I thought architecture would be perfect, so I applied. As I got older I discovered my love for both the old and the new. Historic Preservation and Healthcare Architecture are two of my passions within the built environment. I believe everyone deserves a comfortable place to live their life no matter the circumstances, and I believe the world of design has endless possibilities. You should not only love the building you’re in, but also love the feeling you get the second you step through a set of doors.

01 De-Heteronormativity
Location: Dallas , Texas Fall 2017
When I was told that I would have to design a museum of the extinction of anything that I want I didn't want to do a material object or species, I wanted to do something with a broader context that would leave a greater impact on anyone that would walk through the walls. Heteronormativity is slowly fading away, whether people want it to or not. Norms from the past are now changing. De-Heteronormativiy: The Museum, explores norms both new and old about the gender binary, sexual orientation, gender roles, race in relationships, dating life, and more. As the state of Texas is a very conservative state, Dallas is full of open-mindedness and opportunity. I thought bringing this museum to Dallas and spreading education on this topic would be a very good opportunity. Placing it across Klyde Warren Park in the Arts District will bring a lot of traďŹƒc and attention to the museum. All are welcome here.

02 ku-tag traditions and generations center
Location: lawrence, kansas spring 2017
I named this the "traditions and generations center" because I wanted it to be a place for everyone. When people think of a welcome center at a college or university, it is usually geared toward incoming freshman. I wanted the KU-TAG to be open to any fan of the Jayhawks, whether it be an incoming freshman, a student in their junior year, or an alumni of the University of Kansas, as it is attached to the existing Alumni Center. The idea of this building is "coming full circle" in the terms of being a Jayhawk, which is why there is such an emphasis on circles and curves throughout the building. I hope that any Jayhawk young, or old, can ďŹ nd comfort being inside this building.

Location: st. joseph, missouri Fall 2016
The IUOE training center is a place for construction apprentices to learn the tricks and trade of construction before going out into the real worl.d. A key component of this building is the arena where students can both watch and practice. I wanted to keep this training center both simple and practical for its use, hence the simple oor plan complete with classrooms, lunch rooms, and areas for the students to relax and learn.

For the kit of parts project, we were given a list of materials that we were allowed to use for the model, and devise an abstract-like scenario, with intentions of it being able to be walked through. From here we developed perspective drawings, and plan and elevation drawings, along with a parti model, and parti drawings.

freshman design studio i fall 2015 The lightbox project was my first experience with design and planning. All of first semester of first year was conceptual, but I learned how to create a kit of parts, instructions, and successfully create a lightbox. It also gave me a step in the right direction with InDesign and Photoshop.

06 architectural PHOTOGRAPHY Something I enjoy doing very much is exploring new cities with a camera. Whether it be with my iPhone or my DSLR camera, the opportunities to explore material, texture, and lighting are endless. Architectural Photography is my favorite. Not only does it provide inspiration for future projects, but it also helps me to explore with angles, high or low, it is always fun to photograph a new building or structure.
