October SOSP: UNICEF
What does SOSP stand for?
SOSP stands for Spotlight on service program. Every month we have a different organization that we direct our service projects towards.
Trick or Treat for UNICEF
Trick or Treat for UNICEF is a two-month long event that was held in October and November in order to raise money for this social welfare organization. By asking for change instead of candy, participants could make a difference not just in their community, but all around the world. See trickortreatforunicef.org for more.
What is UNICEF?
UNICEF is a United Nations Agency that aims to provide humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. Ask for change instead of candy this Halloween! Support Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF by distributing collection boxes to your club. Proceeds will go towards children in need all around the world.
UNICEF is an organization that works in over 190 different countries and territories to protect children’s rights and their lives. It is one of the most widespread and recognizable social welfare organizations in the world and was originally founded in New York in 1946.
In order to help UNICEF make an impact, volunteers were able to participate in the Trick or Treat for UNICEF event this October/ November. Thank you to everyone who raised money or donated through the online site. We appreciate your efforts to help protect the next generation.
