CGA News 14 December 2016
WELCOME TO OUR NEW HEADTEACHER Dear Parents, I am very proud to have been appointed as the academy’s new permanent headteacher. Having worked here in a number of leadership roles over the last seven years, I am fully committed to ensuring continuing success for your daughters and the academy. I recognise the huge value in working in partnership with you as parents and will be using this ‘CGA News’ update to keep you informed about important dates, academy events and student and staff achievements. We have printed this first edition of the ‘CGA News’ for you but will be emailing this out from now on. If we don’t already have your email address, please email this to Kate Plunkett in Student Reception at: kplunkett@clapton.hackney.sch.uk Thank you all for your continuing support of the academy. I wish you a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas break and look forward to seeing you all at parents evenings and other events in the spring term.

Year 7 Students Donate Shoe Box Gifts to Refugees In association with the Hackney Cypriot Association, our Year 7 students have donated shoe box gifts to refugees in Greece. Each box contains some small essentials such as toiletries and warm clothing as well as a gift, which go to Thessaloniki, Greece to help the estimated 27,000 children in the refugee camps this December.
