STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: THE ROSE INSTITUTE - INTERN PRESENTATION AND RECEPTION

Rose Institute, Fourth Floor, Kravis Center The Rose Institute and their interns will host student presentations on local and state government. Drop by and hear about the research the Rose Institute interns are working on. Topics include campaign finance, redistricting, criminal justice, and more! Alumni

will be encouraged to engage with students through questions. After the presentation, enjoy a cup of coffee and chat with Rose Institute interns, staff, and faculty. All are welcome!

Davidson Lecture Hall, Adams Hall Join CMC’s nationally-ranked Model United Nations team for an exciting simulation of the real UN Security Council! Feel free to observe or pair up with a student team member to push national policy and brainstorm international solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues.

ContinuED SESSION: PROFESSOR AMY KIND - IMAGINING OTHERS

Kravis 102 Can one know what it’s like to live a life very different from one’s own? This question is particularly pressing in contemporary society as we try to bridge racial, ethnic, and gender divides. In this talk, Professor Amy Kind will explore whether and how imagination might play a role in providing us with access to experiential perspectives quite different from our own. Join Professor Amy Kind, the Russell K. Pitzer Professor of Philosophy as she shares her research on the philosophy of the mind.

Kravis 164 Get creative and make an impact with SOURCE Nonprofit Consulting, a student-run organization focused on addressing local nonprofits’ institutional challenges. Learn more about SOURCE and their mission through an interactive brainstorming session with a local nonprofit. After advising and helping create impactful solutions, end the session with a coffee break to chat one-on-one with their consultants.

Roberts Pavilion Lobby Connect with CMS current athletes, coaches, and Mike Sutton’76, director of advancement for athletics, at Roberts Pavilion. Meet the athletes and coaches, talk about their current seasons, and receive updates from Director of Athletics Terrance Tumey. At 3:00 p.m., the group will tour the athletics and event facilities of Roberts Pavilion, led by Mike Sutton ’76 and John Faranda ’79, CMC’s vice president and ambassador-at-large.

CLASS OF 1973 50TH REUNION PLANNING MEETING AND JOHN ALLEN REMEMBRANCE

Kravis 103 With just five years until our 50th reunion, the Class of 1973 will convene to plan for the big event. At 4:30 the class will head to the John Allen Tree. All 1973 alumni are welcome.
