Because a dream can transcend a lifetime

Dream Foundation and Genentech Making Dreams Come True Since 1994, Dream Foundation has been fulfilling

dreams and reuniting families to bring joy and comfort at the end of life’s journey. From a small office in Santa Barbara, Dream Foundation has served the dreams of more than 10,000 terminally ill adults across the country. Each year, as awareness grows so does the number of requested dreams.

Thanks to its partnership with Genentech, Dream Foundation has been able to expand its service and mission without compromising the very personal aspect of making a dream come true.

Children of dream recipients get as much joy out of a dream delivery as their parents.

Genentech Dream Host Network In 2006, Genentech began offering its Avastin pharmaceutical sales representatives to serve as “Dream Host” volunteers. Today, that number has grown to more than 1,000 national representatives from Genentech’s entire BioOncology Division. Genentech’s Dream Hosts, not only identify regionally available resources to help achieve a dream, they hand-deliver those dreams, often with balloons, special packaging, and gifts for children of the dream recipient. They ensure dreams are fulfilled with a human touch – with affection; an embrace; a celebration.

Not only do dream hosts deliver dreams, they enhance and personalize dream packages.

Genentech’s relationship with Dream Foundation is a fitting one. As nearly 80% of dream recipients battle cancer, many have received life-extending benefits from products created by Genentech. By participating in dreams, Genentech Dream Hosts get to know their customers intimately. Genentech Dream Hosts assemble a new bed for a dream recipient who wanted a comfortable place to rest.
