GOOGLE IT SUPPORT CERTIFICATE

This course is part of a new initiative by Google, based on the training that it developed to prepare its own IT support staff. Coursework includes a combination of online lectures, quizzes and hands-on lab activities covering technical support fundamentals, computer networking, operating systems, system administration, IT infrastructure and IT security.

Students will receive an orientation to the course from a local instructor and additional explanations and examples to support ontrack learning. Upon completion, students will have access to customized support about employment opportunities in the area.

Note: This is an accelerated version of the Google IT Support Professional program. Students will need to be able to commit 6 to 12 hours each week. Most importantly students should have a foundation of computer knowledge, professional communication skills (both written and verbal) and focused time to commit to the faster pace.

In a unique opportunity provided by Google, we are able to offer three new career certificates designed by the company’s senior practitioners at an extremely low cost. Each certificate program can be completed in less than 6 months with 10 hours of focused time per week in an entirely online, self-paced environment. Unlike the Google IT Support Certificate, these are not instructor-led. Note: If you do not complete the entire certificate in one semester, you must re-enroll in a subsequent semester for continued access.

All you need is high-school-level math and a curiosity about how things work!
