A Sense of Belonging
We have a highly effective pastoral system. Each year group has a Head of Learning, a Senior Intervention Tutor and a team of tutors who provide the care, guidance and support that every child needs. Learners have tutor time every day, which is carefully structured to provide a range of essential learning activities including current affairs and citizenship and ensures that any difficulties are resolved quickly. Although tutor groups are organised in years, our House system is structured vertically enabling students from all ages to work together. This combination provides students with a strong sense of belonging to the community.
“ Students see it as part of their responsibility to encourage understanding and tolerance for people from different backgrounds. 06
