Wellbeing We want our students to be happy, healthy, motivated to study hard and enjoy life.
Our induction programme with seminars, study skills sessions and teamworking activities ensures students make a smooth transition into the Sixth Form. Every student has an experienced tutor who can offer advice, monitor progress, oversee the university application process and act as a point of contact for parents. Through life skills lessons, often led by expert guest speakers, students take part in topical debates as well as learning about personal health and safety. For students needing additional emotional support we have access to a range of agencies and counselling professionals working in school and externally. Support is provided to ensure that EMA grants are received by qualifying students. Enrichment is a key part of the Sixth Form. The varied enrichment offer enables students to develop high level independence, skills in serving the community and to experience a wide variety of situations. Students take part in a range of sports, artistic performances and exhibitions, Duke of Edinburgh programmes and Community Sports Leader courses. All these help with applications to universities.

Moving on Students from Stoke Newington Sixth Form go to many of the top universities in the country to study subjects including maths and economics, philosophy, physics and art.
This university success is made possible because of the academic achievements of our students and the support and guidance offered by our tutors and careers staff. This includes expert advice on progression routes, course choice and help with UCAS applications and interview preparation. Undergraduate students and admissions advisers offer insight to the opportunities on offer in Higher Education and a focused HE week in Year 12 includes workshops, our own graduate careers event along with guidance for students, parents and carers on the UCAS process. To complement this, visits to universities and subject-related workshops prepare our students to leave Stoke Newington and move onto the next phase of their lives.
