WELCOME Opened in 2002, the West Green Learning Centre at Park View works in partnership with a number of training providers to deliver quality learning and training opportunities for people who live or work in the West Green neighbourhood and the surrounding areas. We are open Monday to Thursday 9am to 9pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 3pm. Hire of the Centre outside of these house may be possible upon request, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

For some courses you will have to pay an examination or registration fee, this will be in addition to course fees and is non-refundable.

Once you have paid your fees we will only give you a full refund if we have to cancel the class for any reason.
Course Materials
We accept payment by cash or cheque (with cheque guarantee card) or postal orders. Unfortunately we are not able to accept credit card or debit card payments.
The cost of books or course materials is in addition to course fees and students are solely responsible for paying these.
Concessions If you are in receipt of certain state benefits or are a senior citizen you may be entitled to a full or partial reduction in course fees. If you think you might be entitled to pay the concessionary fee you must bring proof of benefit entitlements, proof of address and photographic identity when you come to enrol. Document we will accept as proof of address are a utility bill, i.e. gas, electricity, telephone bill (not mobile phone) or bank statement.

We will focus on painting techniques, from those of the old masters to modern mediums. Students will develop observational skills, experiment with various mediums, prepare materials (canvas, board, varnishes, paint), and practice techniques of their choice (such as egg tempera, oil and acrylics). The course will combine lectures and practice in painting. It is suitable for students with some experience in drawing and beginners in painting.
An introduction to acoustic guitar playing. Covering basic chords scales, right hand picking and strumming techniques and simple tunes.

This is a practically grounded course where you will be introduced to digital camera, lighting, sound and editing as well as the basic practical lessons of how to get a film made. The course is
